Now let’s just hope she doesn’t get “head hunted”!Even if she did, Richard. Michelle still wouldn’t leave. Not after all that she’s done and there’s still more to do.
May 17, 2024 at 3:08 pm #285911Maybe not leave but she sounds like she’d be happy for someone else to take the helm.

Are they going to crown Max Bell up and coming politician of the year? Are you implying Stuart is doing something wrong raising money for the Iron CMC, if so please expand your reasons on here?

May 21, 2024 at 2:05 pm #286075“recognised by the ironhour podcast for all the fundraising they do for Scunny”
I saw this somewhere on social media – a photo of a couple of trophies which have been fashioned up for the Maws. Waste of money. A pat on the back should have sufficed, and the trophies cash donated to the club.

Plus: “… recognised by the Iron Hour podcast for all the fundraising they do for Scunny”
It’s not Iron Hour’s place to recognise them, imho. It’s the Club’s.

So are you saying nobody else but the club should recognise their efforts?, if so it seems a bit churlish imho.

Their efforts have been enthusiastic and determined and I genuinely applaud them for their service to the good of the club – as should everyone else. However, anyone other than the club itself formally recognising them for those efforts (in this case by handing out shiny gongs) seems like a bit much, to me.
May 21, 2024 at 5:33 pm #286079for me it’s like getting a Gong from Pol Pot ,it changes nothing and I’d give it back. They still have blood on their hands so to speak

Wow comparing Iron Hour podcast to Pol Pot, 64 officially gone ga ga.
May 21, 2024 at 5:46 pm #286081I agree the club should recognize them I suggested one route that cost nothing you objected, how should the club recognize them Apollo11.
Should Michelle not have been recognized by the north lincs business awards? which without Cass couldn’t have started this thread.
Recognition from ones peers is the greatest recognition of all imo.May 21, 2024 at 6:02 pm #286082I agree the club should recognize them I suggested one route that cost nothing you objected, how should the club recognize them Apollo11.

Recognition from ones peers is the greatest recognition of all imo.The route you suggested was a route that the Club could otherwise earn money from, so it would not have made sense in the current climate.
I have no objection whatsoever to the fundraisers receiving, say, a public note of thanks from the Club on the website or over the loudspeaker prior to a match or something along those lines.
