I see the league, in its infinite wisdom, has decided that from February they will no longer be making every game available for streaming, so in the future Iron games may or may not be available for exiles or the non-travelling-fan to watch. Bit of a shame, I wonder how often our games will be among those picked – possibly more often than most given our larger fanbase?
More games televised if promoted maybe?
Yeah, should say that this change only currently applies to the North & South leagues.
It’s most likely a quality control measure?
The quality of the images from some clubs is poor, others have the camera located in a position which on occasions gives a terrible view or part of the pitch isn’t visible. Other times, there is no commentary or commentary by someone speaking worzelese.
My guess is that they’ll televise the more professional outfits?
Probably a financial decision. Many NLS & NLN teams only get 4 or 5 hundred pitching up for their home matches. How many of them are going to fork out best part of a tenner to watch a poor quality stream of their teams away games?
Especially on nights if they have Sky/TNT packages they have already paid for and a Spurs vs Man City type game is there to watch for no extra cost.
Even if 20% of the fanbase tune in they would struggle to cover costs.
