Quiz
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/16/quiz-can-you-identify-these-former-football-grounds
I got 10, some knowledge, some educated guesses.
Last Saturday I was at Blackwell Meadows for the Darlington v Chester game. That meant I’d seen the Quakers at three different home venues. Feethams and the Reynolds Arena being the others.
A first for me though I expect others have already ticked off that milestone.
Rotherham for example. Coventry?
10/15 too. Not bad
Just the 7 – failed miserably on the european grounds – as for snow in Brighton unheard of :)
I scored a kiwi squared… no idea where that puts me?
13 for me, mind you there were 2 lucky guesses and a couple I worked out by looking at the kit.
Some classic grounds though, I recall watching Scunny at Burnden Park many years ago. The old Man City ground was a classic too, I prefer that to the soulless Etihad. I did have a laugh when I saw Donny’s old ground too. Wasn’t that stand set on fire by their dodgy chairman?
SPOILER ALERT!

Not to worry, Man United often fail miserably on European grounds.
9/15!
Is that big John Charles in the Ninian Park shot?
Don’t know. Got that right though. It had a Ninian look about it. Got Burnden Park wrong, even though I’ve been there.
