I feel for Simon Elliot channeling his inner Tory Cabinet Minister.

Sent out to do the media round defending the indefensible.

    Bit like our back four.

Somebody who’s passionate about the club, be better spending his time putting together a consortium to buy the club. A fan as chairman, the stuff of dreams!!

It’s all very well saying “we need you now” and begging fans to come along but it’s not going to wash with most people. That’s the opposite of how it’s felt for much of the last 8-9 years. Apart from asking nicely, what is the club doing to get more people into the ground?

A talk of utter bollocks, 1500 turned up for the Oldham game with an appeal from Hill and for what? From what was posted on here we were utter dross, glad I didn’t buy into it, win the next 2 then appeal to the fans.

Really speaking, what is actually on offer that 3would tempt supporters to bother attending any games???

Supporters have been driven away by what has happened to their club over the past 4 years, the team has not performed, and fans are lucky to see our team have a shot on target, never mind hoping to see us score a bloody goal, the team have won 4 matches out of 35 league matches, this being added to a long run at the end of last season, plus we manage to exit all Cup games in the first round, the Charman does not attend games, so why the hell should he expect ex-supporters to turn out???

The club has been driven into the National League, there is no possible wasy that this team can win seven or eight games out of the remaining eleven matches, the football is no more than being pathetic, and entertainment is at an all time low.

Until this season, and last season due to Covid, I like many more have turned out week after week, season after season, but there is no enjoyment in thinking of wasting one’s time and money supporting our team that has been driven out of the football league due to mis-management by Swann and Cox, who should have been managing Brigg Town rather than a league team.

After 71 years, I never thought that I would be saying this, but I am not really missing going to GP, but good luck to the 1,800 to 2,000 that still wish to attend!!!

Seems Mr Hill says should The Iron win it will make other teams worry !!

That is why I no longer listen to him, from the day he took over we should have ignored what the others were doing. Like Cox did he selects those that keep failing, plays them in formations that don’t work. The cardinal sin was retaining Hackney after his 6 game ban. He should have gone but moment available straight in !! Shouldn’t have been here – end of.

Targeting returned big time and we will leave with a whimper.

Brigg Town wouldn’t want Swann and neither would any other football club with his track record. In fact in my opinion last season we should have been the team dropping out of the league. At the end of the season, I don’t like to say this, but Grimsby Town were picking up results and playing better than us. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth. What did SWANN do he further weakened the team, the same as the season before. WE’RE ROTTEN AT THE TOP.

Swanns are there today – wonder if they will pick up a vibe or two.

No doubt they are here to sign the assets back over to the club like he promised, also pay off the loan like he promised or do whatever it takes to stop us going down like he promised or maybe start the slip road in October like he promised, or……..well you get the drift

Relying on defenders from set plays? Dangerous.

Our defenders are very dangerous at set plays.

Not so much from the ones that we take though.

The first yellow looked a dive, second one he caught him but seen decisions that looked worse get away with a warning, I hope we don’t invite pressure second half

Anybody who thinks Hill is the answer is asking the wrong question.

Hill, Cox, Swann or Burny. It would make no difference.

Blatant handball to bring the ball under control at the start of the run for the equaliser.

Having said that the defending was thereafter was ridiculous. Agree with MM though it was 10 against 12 today.

Bizzarly one of our best second half attacking performances this season.

An absolute shower of shite again.

Sooner we are relegated the better so we can just move on from this nightmare.

Hate going to games this year and there’s not a chance I’ll be purchasing a ST next year with Swann still at the helm.

Agree CBRP. I am another season ticket holder of 35 years who won’t be going next year whilst ever Swann is involved.

First yellow was wrong for me, certainly harsh.
Second was a booking and Mathisen has to be smarter knowing he’s been booked first booking right or wrong he was never getting away with that it was stupid.

The handball for their first was so blatant he may has well have caught it and run it over the line like a rugby ball.

Strange team selection n set up again from.mr Hill..

Have to agree – baffling. A home game we just have to win and we get:-
    One up front
A midfield containing a 16 yo (surely not the right time)
    somebody confirmed as unfit
    and a 19 yo loanee.

I think Hill has known for a while that the fat lady has packed up her microphone and is in the taxi home.

He is letting the ownership know that in professional football you should only pick players that are prepared to get fit enough and work hard enough to make a difference.

Shame we have spent the last 4 years bringing in a constant stream of players not prepared to do either.

Even their manager didn’t think the first yellow was a card offence, their first goal a carbon copy of Rochdale’s first couldn’t really tell what the complaints was about, didn’t see the handball from our position, but again we get nothing from the referee and it is over 27 months since anyone got sent off against us so it doesn’t balance out with us.

Interested to hear what les thinks of today’s ref, for me one of the most incompetent displays of refereeing I have ever seen at Scunny and I’ve been going to watch the Iron since 1964. Complete buffoon IMO.
