What were those little morons in the corner thinking on Saturday. The club gave in and re-opened it providing they could behave themselves and all they did was embarrass the club and themselves!!!
And please don’t anybody try tell me they are just being passionate because that is utter bollocks, being passionate is supporting your team and getting behind them, not ignoring whats going on on the pitch and spending 90 mins goading the opposition fans and trying to get into their end just because they celebrate a goal!!! Set of pricks the lot of them!

August 22, 2022 at 7:39 am #243257Couldn’t agree more. Idiots thought it was funny to not give the ball back when we’re 3-2 down with 5mins to go aswell. Not that they were watching the game anyway. Too busy acting the hooligan. Also, banging on the wall when Solihull had a free kick in a good position. Do they actually realise that’s a rallying call for the free kick taker??
August 22, 2022 at 7:57 am #243259from the footage they look like quite young..teens not sure re any hooligan element just daft young fookwits playing up …. no need for it
(ar teens i was one of those once, many years ago, not that i can remember much about it, was just a haze of diamond white and chasing fit young lasses n grab a granny in Tiffs).
btw .. with crowd sizes as they are currently i didnt see the point of re opening the corner in the first place
August 22, 2022 at 8:02 am #243260These will be the same idiots (pricks) who thought if was OK to block the view of fans behind the Donny road goal by standing on the wall with a six by six flag in the second half of the Yoevil game. Goaded on by another drunken idiot called Paul? These cretins need weeding out and got shot of.
August 22, 2022 at 8:18 am #243262I don’t think Neil Wright was impressed by his comments and in full view of everyone in the directors box, didn’t some go into the away end provoking Solihull fans after a gate was left open.
August 22, 2022 at 9:12 am #243266Yes. 2 or 3 walked in towards the Solihull fans (who incidently looked uninterested in them apart from being tired of their constant yapping), but were stopped in their tracks by an alert security officer. One had gone on the pitch. Not sure why both weren’t ejected tbh. Not one for heavy handed security in general but some of the security around them were too much the other way. There should be a middle ground. They may be daft kids playing up but they’re an embarrassment to the club. Lee’s working hard to improve the matchday experience. Shouldn’t be tainted by Fagin’s little bunch of scrotes.
August 22, 2022 at 9:13 am #243267Apparently they went straight for the Solihull supporters’ coaches after the game to taunt and harass their fans.
August 22, 2022 at 9:15 am #243268They did. The one coach of friendly fans who will only have bad things to say about our club now. Witnessed from the car park. Average age about 15 I reckon. Crisps and fried chicken diet.

August 22, 2022 at 9:20 am #243270I thought the whole point of it was to have aggro with like-minded casuals, not harass the ‘scarfers’. If they must do this, why not save it for something away from the ground with Chesterfield, Oldham, Wrexham, Notts County or other clubs who have firms, not some club like Solihull, who I can’t imagine having a hooligan element?

They aren’t hooligans- most of them are covered in acne and couldn’t knock the skin off custard. Like you say They will go missing when the bigger teams show up.
Was embarrassing to watch on Saturday and they should shut the corner off immediately.

August 22, 2022 at 12:13 pm #243289Who’s and what comment Mick. Thought the flag was “we want Swanny out”? Maybe mistaken but I thought it went up the same time as all the tennis balls were thrown maybe somebody from the east or west stand could tell us. In which case that should make it acceptable.

August 22, 2022 at 12:29 pm #243293Feel sorry for Lee, going out of his way to please people and give them what they ask only to be let down by the moronic fringe of our fanbase. What about the plastic bottles thrown on the pitch late second half from the DRE will we get a fine for that? Just not good enough when people running the club are trying their best to turn things around.

August 22, 2022 at 12:40 pm #243297Get the impression from Neil on Twitter that it’s being taken care of CBRP. Hope we don’t get fined over this.
August 22, 2022 at 12:41 pm #243298Awaywego I didn’t say I disagreed with the content of the flag but how would you feel if someone put it up in your face while trying watch a football match?
August 22, 2022 at 12:45 pm #243300They did and I just moved over a little bit. Plenty of room at the moment.

it was on Twitter that someone posted a picture of a conversation Neil was involved in and Neil made comments about we gave them the corner …… and can’t remember the words but he didn’t sound happy and I think he said he went round there, but others who followed the conversation will tell you more, someone was blamed for unlocking the gate into the away end but can’t be bothered to search for it, I am not asking Lee because if people have got into trouble for it he won’t say and he will probably make a statement, because he won’t be happy, apparently the club can get in to trouble if fans throw the ball into the back of the stands, and that happened a few times on Saturday and fans also came over the wall but were sent back.

August 22, 2022 at 12:50 pm #243304Next thing they’ll be doing is stopping you taking drink bottles in the ground calling them offensive weapons.
August 22, 2022 at 12:56 pm #243305Read similar to Mick earlier. If I read it correctly someone was complaining that the section had been opened up in the first place – hardly Neil’s fault for fan behaviour. Also someone saying the gate being left open was a trap? Ridiculous claim.

August 22, 2022 at 12:57 pm #243306I had the unfortunate experience of sitting in that corner during our vital match with Tranmere Rovers (the only tickets I could get). The idiots surrounding me spent the whole match antagonising the away supporters, not even following the game, the sad thing was some were parents with their children. Some of those idiots on Saturday were possibly those children.
August 22, 2022 at 12:58 pm #243307Also Neil getting stick for supposedly ‘hiding in the Directors box’ despite him also visiting several parts of the ground. Like yeah, what’s a Director doing in the Directors box ffs? Ridiculous hassle he’s getting.

August 22, 2022 at 1:11 pm #243312If fans are going to harass the fan’s director they risk Neil thinking why bother and giving up, with few wanting to take over. Spoiling one of the good things that have happened recently through spite.

As said previously, we have a vocal minority on Twitter that criticise and groan without having the minerals to get off their arses and do anything themselves.
We’ve had people crying for years about opening the corner, people crying about the stewards being over zealous; the club try to meet them half way and are rewarded with the appalling behaviour on Saturday.

August 22, 2022 at 1:56 pm #243320And there was me wanting to go back to the showground days and all swap ends depending which way we’re kicking. No big ooh argh after the Maidenhead game when their fans moved from one end to share our end, goading Scunny fans being 3-0 up, only separated by 20ft and 2 flimsy fences, their club or fans are not banging on about it, end of the day it’s all part of football even more so in the lower lge’s from what I’m reading, the cods last year were running on the pitch at every away game during their unbeaten start no fines nothing, try to remember you were young once probably at the back of the Donny road being a little scrote, today’s youth are angels compared to how we were in the seventies unless I was the only one, at times on here you would think so, lol.

August 22, 2022 at 2:25 pm #243324‘go back to the showground days and all swap ends depending which way we’re kicking’
Maybe in your day awaywego, not mine. Don’t recall any game where both sets of fans swapped ends at the OSG. The only thing I recall happening is going into Fox St for one half if it was empty or opposition fans taking the Donny Rd end occasionally. Never any swapping I witnessed. Maybe pre-1976?
As for your other defence of the wannabe hoolies (assuming these are the so called Iron Youth you’ve bigged up in the past?), I’m sure the majority of fans appreciate a bit of youthful exuberance that occasionally goes over the top. This wasn’t that – it was virtually constant aggression without provocation throughout the game that was an embarrassment to the club. It spoiled the game for those near them and no doubt most the Solihull fans. Then there was the coach hassle outside. Chanting at the back of the OSG Donny Rd end is not in any way comparable to the behaviour of those lot on Saturday. To be honest, I’m not surprised by your comments. Slightly surprised it took you so long though. Wonder if you’ll get a little thanks from a certain someone soon?
August 22, 2022 at 2:44 pm #243328Definitely happened Deerey. Remember it fondly.
