May 7, 2023 at 3:35 pm #261749You really equating booing a crap song that exalts a non democratic hereditary system with remembering the deaths of 96 people?

May 7, 2023 at 4:21 pm #261750Tragedy chants remembering the 96, don’t think the scousers see it like that, “If only they would” As per norm no mention of the murderers at Heysel only the 96.

I’m not entirely convinced that “God Save the King” can be classified as a national anthem, is it?
May 7, 2023 at 5:08 pm #261755Quelle surprise – Man U fan criticises Liverpool fans.

May 7, 2023 at 5:45 pm #261760May 7, 2023 at 6:38 pm #261767Man u fan or not Deerey which teams fans could I have criticized most others sang the national anthem, pretty common knowledge that fans of many a team chant at the scousers “it’s never your fault” “always the victims” haven’t you heard it? Man city and Forrest apologized for their fans why can’t Clippity and Liverpool FC apologize for theirs.

May 8, 2023 at 9:10 am #261777Hang on, why was the national anthem being played before a football match? Are we in America?

May 8, 2023 at 10:02 am #261779Just two Englishmen and a Scotsman in the starting lineup!

It’s 97 people, disappointed a Scunthorpe based Liverpool fan didn’t know that.
May 9, 2023 at 11:01 am #26182897 just doesn’t sound right in the song Pat that’s probably why.

Never been called a Liverpool fan before,1st time for everything I suppose,my point still stands ,mocking the death of Dozens of people does not equate in any way to booing a song.To claim it does is a bit weird

May 9, 2023 at 3:34 pm #261840The song I know doesn’t mock the dead it just says they weren’t enough, surely you can see it’s the same, both offensive but booing the national anthem affects more than a few scousers, millions have died in the name of kings and queens down the years and not just for our monarchy.
May 9, 2023 at 3:45 pm #261841May 9, 2023 at 4:04 pm #261842I agree. The spirit of Shankly agree the booing was a retrograde step when trying to address the tragedy chanting they believe they were making progress with Leeds and forest supporters groups, but now expect more and from more fan bases as well. At least they understand unlike the clippity and the club.
