Would I like to see any loanees return? – With the possible exception of Delaney, NO!
Get thee hence.Feeney, Taft and Hallam? – Under contract? – Need encouragement to depart.
To leave:
Millen
Thompson
Collins
Perry
Grant
Beestin
Bunn
Jarvis
Turan. The problem is which youngsters have the heart to be allowed to stay and which should go?
Tricky – that’s a decision I would not care to make.April 15, 2022 at 6:23 pm #235681I’d hang on to Thompson.
April 15, 2022 at 6:36 pm #235686I would have agreed but he’ll likely miss at least of next season. Can we afford to be a player down before we start?
Promise him a trial for the season after, maybe?April 15, 2022 at 6:42 pm #235688With the exception of Delaney, but only if there is a chance to keep him next season, there is absolutely no reason why any of the loanees should start another game in an Iron shirt. We might come up against some of them next season when, no doubt, they’ll be outstanding.

April 15, 2022 at 6:44 pm #235689A spineless side (all meanings apply) and many a good player can be dragged down to the team/squad average level.
April 15, 2022 at 6:50 pm #235690It’s been tough for the youngsters coming into a difficult situation and a very poor side.
Moore-Billam, Gallimore, Lewis and Cribb have have shown enough that they can make it in professional football so we should keep them. Shrimpton, Wilson, Young and Collins have not yet had the opportunity to show that they are good enough but wouldn’t write them off.
Jessop has had a few opportunities but never looked like taking them. Poulter scores goals at youth level but neither Cox or Hill seem to think that’s important so not had a first team chance.
I would keep Rowe and O’Malley who are still youngsters but in this squad are relatively experienced.
Leaves us the “experienced” players.
Watson and the club need one of these new no blame divorces. It just hasn’t worked for either. Millen had had a difficult time with injuries but not good enough to keep. Taft thanks but no thanks. Grant – good player but the legs may have gone. Feeney I would probably keep. Always been a good footballer and will do things in a decent team. Beestin again would probably keep. Was one of our better players last season and long Covid has obviously held him back this year
Nuttall has had his chances and not taken them. If your manager picks Pyke ahead of you then you are probably not good enough.
Bunn, Jarvis, Hallam and KDT have not managed to convince Hill or Cox so off you trot.
In summary then we are a dozen decent players short of achieving a National League mid table finish.
Good thing our new head honcho made his reputation finding good footballers on the cheap.
Busy few weeks Lee.

April 15, 2022 at 7:01 pm #235692What will the budget be if Swann is still here
,if he is it won’t anywhere near enoughApril 15, 2022 at 7:18 pm #235695Isn’t Beestin, Nuttall and Perry under contract and not sure whether Millen is as well.
April 15, 2022 at 7:47 pm #235705Think Grant is under contract too les, could be decent in the NL with some younger legs around him.
April 15, 2022 at 8:55 pm #235719Could depend on who thinks they’re too good for the NL. Can’t think of anybody myself.
April 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm #235726Get rid of the lot of them including the youngsters, we are where we are because each and everyone of them is not good enough.
Simple as that, they are not good enough as individuals and collectively are even worse.
Not one of them has given a flying F###, stood out, shown promise, desire or passion for OUR Iron.
Time to get rid, Ernest Pawn was of a certain character and attracted likewise, players who could talk the talk but simply could not deliver and when push came to shove they had nothing to give and went AWOL.
If you keep any of this lot our freefall will continue.
