Isn’t it amazing how all these players apart from Jordan wanted higher grade football but they have all ended up in league 2

McGahey is good enough for league 1 if he can stay fit. I’m surprised he’s stayed in league 2.

Clarke might just still be a decent league 2 centre back. He’s finished as a right back.

I’m guessing Clarke will be on a pay as you play contract, his injury record is so poor no club with any sense would consider anything else. Agree with DSGM that centre back would be the sensible option for Clarke now injury prevention wise and he turned in some half decent displays when playing in that position for us. McGahey suffered with hamstring problems whilst here and that can be a long term issue for players once it occurs, be interesting to see how he gets on with that next season.

Indeed.

They will have bought into Oldham’s sales pitch.

“We’re a bigger club than L2. We are aiming for promotion this season, and establishing ourselves as a Championship side in 3/4 years time”.

Remember when we could do that?
