New centre forward (I think) from Tamworth. Good to see we’re getting a bit of depth for what will be the crucial month of March
February 21, 2025 at 10:43 am #299238New formation?
Fitz
Rose Kuoguan Boyce Denton
Carlton Roberts Federa
Wreh Beck WhitehallMight concede a few but should score at least one more.
February 21, 2025 at 10:56 am #299239I had the impression that Whitehall was out for the season so Wreh would be his replacement.
February 21, 2025 at 11:21 am #299240Whitehall is due for a scan on his knee today, as per Butler’s interview on Humberside yesterday. I guess we’ll know the severity of the injury and when he is expected to return in a couple of days.
February 21, 2025 at 11:45 am #299241Escaping racist abuse?
He should be okay when he comes to a club with better standards than most.February 21, 2025 at 11:48 am #299242I missed that bit Les? Where does it say he’s escaping racist abuse?
February 21, 2025 at 12:02 pm #299243An excellent signing IMO strengthening for the run in battle for promotion…
lets hope he plays football as well as he sings and its not a road to hell
February 21, 2025 at 12:04 pm #299245I didn’t see that bit either?
But good luck to the lad, hope he scores many many goals for The Iron.

February 21, 2025 at 1:33 pm #299248Not exactly a vote in confidence for Beck & Carlton but don’t think we had a choice.
Gives us some options now at least
February 21, 2025 at 2:24 pm #299249Not so much for Beck, but Carlton has previously played on the wing. Fadera was more of a worry for his confidence and, so far, I think Fadera has impressed more.

At home, I would still like to see Beestin as the centre forward, like at the start of the season, with the faster and/or skillful players behind him, e.g. Roberts, Carlton, Fadera. Different horses for different courses.

February 21, 2025 at 3:08 pm #299251Not for me. Alfie OK as 2nd striker but not the focal point. Prefer him in MF.

February 21, 2025 at 4:43 pm #299255So Tamworth gave him no support. Well he won’t have to put up with any of that with Scunny!
February 21, 2025 at 4:56 pm #2992561:3 goals at level 7 and below
1:6 goals at level 5
Level 6… watch this space.February 21, 2025 at 9:10 pm #2992701:3 for Tamworth last season at this level (level 6).
February 22, 2025 at 7:49 am #299280I read he had a lot of goal involvements/goals when playing for them “Tamworth” last season. Wreh really impressed for them last season. Great signing at this level and could very well push us over the line.
February 22, 2025 at 7:57 am #299281Matt can we ban Burney?,assists was one thing that’s now out of , but not going to let “goal involvements” go unpunished
February 22, 2025 at 10:00 am #299286What was his xG like?
February 22, 2025 at 8:10 pm #299321As they say in origami… everything will unfold.
February 22, 2025 at 8:43 pm #299327What was his xG like?
British Racing Green with whitewall tyres.
February 23, 2025 at 12:07 am #299331This had better be good Cass. Please elaborate :)

It was a moderate to poor attempt at humour. I am too old to understand your post so I thought I’d get you back. Sorry.
February 23, 2025 at 10:52 am #299341Not your wittiest effort Cass but I am old enough to get it.
February 23, 2025 at 11:01 am #299342On a slightly more serious note the fella did OK when he came on yesterday. Put himself about and showed 2 or 3 good touches.
Something different to Beck and Whitehall. Better in the air than Danny and more mobile than Mark.
For what it’s worth thought Beck was OK yesterday as well. The team overall looked lethargic and ponderous until the last 15 minutes. When the choice was getting a cross in for Beck or pass it back to a defender we nearly always chose option 2.

February 23, 2025 at 12:27 pm #299344Start the new lad in every one of the remaining games and give him a real chance to show us what he can do.
We know Beck is a disaster. Bench him.

Not sure xG (expected goals) is age specific? It was tongue in cheek football jargon.

Make your mind up. You were undermining his pedigree the other day.
