    Chorley (8th) v Scunny (4th)
They are 5 pts behind us but with 2 games in hand.
They’ll be looking to throw everything at us today in order to reduce the points deficit and to compound their ‘advantage’.
They failed to score in 3 of their last 5 and in 4 of their last 6 games.
W5 D1 L4 of their last 10 across all competitions.
    They are P12 W7 D3 L2 GF19 GA12 GD+7 at home in league games.

We’ve failed to score in 3 of our last eight games and have only lost once in that period.
    We are P13 W7 D2 L4 GF17 GA10 GD+7 in the league away from home.

    I’ll go with two:
    0-0 @ 5/1
    1-1 @ 7/1

The shortest priced positive result is 0-1 @ 13/2

    Good luck to the debutants.

    [1-0 to them is 7/1]

How big is the clear-out going to be at the end of the season, I wonder?

Sounds like a typical away performance, kicking the hell out of the opposition and not looking like scoring

    1-1
Take Roberts & Whitehall out of this team and we’d be in the bottom half of the table.
    15th of the season.

    Good point or points dropped?

Sounded unlucky towards the end. Big 3 games coming up and Kiddie on the charge.

Any away point is good and our away form has been decent this season, it’s our home form that is dire, we have to win more home games, simples.

Our last 4 goals conceded were, apparently, pretty poor. Cost us 5 points.
    (Question marks over Fitz?)

Fitz was ‘enjoying a drink’ in a pub in Notts last night, hopefully he recovered in time. I don’t blame him mind, you need a coping mechanism in this league.

Would have bought him one if I was in said pub, he’s done more than some of the other wasters stealing a full time wage at this club

How many yellows to us and to them? We must have won that match but will it cost us £s?

Enjoyed that. Very entertaining and a nice little ground. Never been before. Bloody freezing mind. Think we were good for the draw and a win wouldn’t have been undeserved. Liked what I saw of the new boys. Room for optimism but as previously said, need more home wins now.

Prity poor game, dour first half bit better second but not by much, got to put them chances away if you want to win the league Carlton and Beck! What can you say both 1 or 2 foot out and can’t hit the net, others need to step up can’t leave it all to Robert and Whitehall.

Starting Carlton one week dropping him the next give him a run of games for fs.

Good debuts for the new lads, though Rose did give away the free kick from which they scored their first. Nice touches and speed from Mo and set up the Whitehall goal.
Looked to be a clanger from Fitz but he’s saved us so many times so no big deal.
Thought Chorley were poor to be honest 2 points dropped rather than one won, from their fans at the end you’d have thought they’d won the cup.
What did you think of the scunny fans Deerey seen as you eher there.

Good, as it happens. As did my Burnley mate I was with. Last time he watched the Iron with me was at Gigg Lane, maybe 4-5 years ago? He’s generally happy seeing plenty of claret and blue around. Oh how times have changed. Last time we played Bury maybe?

Just checked last time we played Bury at Gigg. Way longer than I thought – 2017. Where does it all go?

As others have alluded too, a good result in isolation, however following the Rushall result and other teams winning around us another frustrating afternoon. There’s No getting away from it, the next 3 home games are crucial and we have to be aiming for maximum points.

Seen the Beck miss on Twitter and it’s just not good enough 2 weeks running. I thought he was exactly the type of player we needed but he’s certainly no improvement on Fish.

You’re not kidding, he’s way worse. I thought his last miss was bad enough when he somehow cleared the ball instead of tapping it home, but that miss against Chorley.

In all seriousness, I would expect Sunday league quality strikers to score that. Gilt edged chance isn’t doing it justice. I would have sent him out before Fish. We no doubt need a striker in the building. Butler did say he was looking at another few coming in to strengthen us and I hope one’s a striker.
