According to Moody we passed the 6,300 figure yesterday, last year we passed that figure 24 hours before kick off and achieved a gate of 7,500
Monumental effort all round and a good chance of breaking the league record.

March 14, 2025 at 6:55 pm #299910Yesterday [13/03] Chester had sold 1300 tickets with 90 left.
2moro’s score will have an influence, so the more the better.
March 19, 2025 at 11:06 am #300054Must win? Or just a must not lose?
March 19, 2025 at 1:31 pm #300066Last night was a ‘must not lose’.
I think Saturday is a ’must win’
Brackley & Kiddy have on paper, what appear to be more straightforward games.
Lose and they both win and it’s squeaky bum time again.1 user thanked author for this post.
March 19, 2025 at 1:40 pm #300067Not sure it’s a must win. Thinks a really need to win, to get back on track and put last night properly to bed. Bounce back in a big game needed.
March 19, 2025 at 1:53 pm #300070Well there’s one thing for certain we can’t draw our way to the title, beat Chester and that’s them virtually out of it.
March 19, 2025 at 2:45 pm #300076How many more big crowd , must win games are we gonna bottle ?? .. realistically are we better than any other team in the top 8 ?? average performances . late lucky goals to scramble a face saving result leads me to believe not and i think Saturday will be a tight affair, a huge following and our toothless chance taking front line may cost us .. so at best a draw is my prediction 0-0 OR 1-1
So many delusional SUFC fans thinking we are superior when in reality we are not.
We are in the mix
March 19, 2025 at 3:37 pm #300079If you were here to see IFA you’d see we’re far superior footballing wise anyway, the only team I’ve seen where we weren’t against was Curzon.
Now taking our chances to me is only where we fail in superiority even when we’re lack lustre still better than most opposition imo.
March 19, 2025 at 5:48 pm #300083One has to ask… who’s going to score for us?
A 0-0 or 1-1… I have to agree with IFA.
March 20, 2025 at 9:40 pm #3001008,000 sold, could easily be sell out. Superb initiative from the club and well marketed. We didn’t even get close to that playing the likes of Hull, Lincoln, Donny.
March 21, 2025 at 12:56 pm #300105Due to atrocious recruitment, and poor striking options, I can only see a scraped draw, or close defeat. Brace yourselves lads, 0-2, 1-2, or 1-1.
March 21, 2025 at 1:22 pm #300109@ Home since the turn of the year:

Chester @ Away since the turn of the year:
P9 W6 D1 L2 GF19 GA10 GD+9 Pts19
19 points from 27
I’m disagreeing with myself, think it’ll either be 1-1, 2-2 or 2-1 either way.
March 21, 2025 at 2:28 pm #300110Let’s hope for a game that truly matches the effort of the Club in securing a bumper crowd.

Sometimes its got to be laid out straight and i dont think we are good enough to to beat Chester tomorrow unless we click and its a mega performance rather than the mediocre we are used to. ITS CALLED CRUNCH TIME and i hope the players step up and put the effort in to reward the massive fan turn out.
That said .,.re previous post
Yes sadly i agree 0-0 1-1 is best option .. BUT i fear a 0-1 or 0-2 or 1-2 for the exact reasons you mention,, our toothless strike force and a huge loud away following may well get Chester over the line as Scunny NEVER turn p on the big occasion.UTI .. Thai Iron

March 22, 2025 at 9:25 am #300123Hope you all have a good day and the Iron beat Chester.
We seemed to encourage these large crowds for us to slip up.
Hopefully today the tide changes.
Can’t make it unfortunatelyUTI
March 22, 2025 at 10:58 am #300132I’ll second that! Good luck to the boys, a win would be fantastic. I couldn’t go up to Scunthorpe because of work, but will listen to the commentary on the radio. Also hope we blow the NLN attendance record to pieces. UTI
March 22, 2025 at 12:38 pm #300151Today’s the day – 2-0 – Mark Beck and Michael Clunan
March 22, 2025 at 12:42 pm #300152Today’s the day – 2-0 – Mark Beck and Michael Clunan
What odds on Clunan scoring .. be a miracle of biblical proportions …
Dont care who nets but be great if Beck , Udou or Mo could notch.
Waiting news on Danny Whall n Alfir Beestin .. if included could be key.

March 22, 2025 at 5:38 pm #300167Great win, put them to bed in front of a great crowd well done Butler and the team you really showed up today, that’s the second big crowd where Butlers team have won long may it continue, only poor performance for me was Carlton but he shouldn’t be played up top on is own even so he put in a great low cross for Roberts to score.
Just a shame they got a goal they hardly deserved great free kick mind.
Should be nudging 5000 or more next Saturday after todays performance.
