So will we be knocked off the perch at the weekend?
And will that be last we see of it.

Was hoping we’d be giving some new legs a run out but very quiet.
    Obviously AB thinks we’ve enough.

    3-1 Chester

I was hoping the friendly against Donny might have produced something in the way of fresh faces but it hardly merited a mention at our end. “All the squad were involved” was all we got.
Did Carlton play? Is he fit? Did we look at any triallists? Were we checking out Donny fringe players for loan? Did we try different tactics?
Answers to any/all of these questions would have been appreciated.

I hope I am wrong, however with the form over the last few weeks I have little faith that we will come away with all 3 points at Chester.

As ever would love a win but I feel the players are getting demotivated in the system 2-0 to Chester.

Without a change in the system or personne, Chester will prove to strong for us on Saturday.2 or 3-0. We will not be top of the table at 5pm!

I’m expecting a win for Chester based on current form, however as much as I hate this system away from home and against the better teams it has yielded some positive results so maybe we escape with a draw

We will not be top of the table at 5pm!

How can you say this with such conviction? Unless Chester win by a four goal margin we can lose and still be top come the end of the day.

Probably the other teams around us winning, two, maybe 3 potential table toppers

Taking goal difference in or out of the equation as well as Chester,Chorley who are away at Alfreton, Curzon and Hereford who play each other could also go top come 5pm Saturday.

Assuming AB plays his favoured formation im hoping for another surprise Iron performance ala Brackley just worried where the goals will come from as it appears we are very tame as an attacking force recently.

We may well nick a goal but IMO Chester will do us 2-1

Carlton didn’t play. No trialists and played the same formation. drew 1-1. Simply was set up to give the slightly undercooked ” or rare ” players some game time. No mention of players coming in either. Striker short and still need a capable CM player.

The person to solve the midfield out would be Beestin, but we can’t move him from up top due to a lack of striking options.

Be nice to turn them over as never seen such a small fanbase with such delusions of grandeur.

Struggling to predict anything other than defeat though: 2-0

With you on this one, some of their fans tweets are cringeworthy. Would love us to bring them back down to planet earth but sadly can’t see it. 2-1 Chester.

A draw might be deemed a success, whereas a defeat might bring changes.
Draws don’t win you the league and we all saw what happened with Wilcox 14 draws in his unbeaten run, should have walked that league luckily in that league 3 were automatically promoted.
    Win or bust!
