Funny when the home team get a punishment it affects our away following, paltry amount of tickets given, same back in the day with Chelsea, home fans caused trouble so naturally you ban the away fans! felt robbed on that occasion taking a 4-1 lead to the old Stamford bridge as well. Might go in the home end it’s that ticketing company again selling them not Chester.

Tickets go straight to your email. Can’t see a problem as long as you keep your head down.

Do they still sell scarfs NI? One of the debts was reportedly from Macron for unsold scarfs. Never wore one since the red and white days when you had to wear it round your wrist.

The debt to Macron was for an unpaid invoice for kit followed by being sued for breach of contract when Hilton turned to Kelme as Macron wouldn’t supply this seasons kit as the club hadn’t paid their invoice.
The CCJ for unpaid scarves was from a different supplier.

I had a few red and white scarves. One woolen one in reverse yellow and blue away colours was dumped in Normanby Hall woods when I got caught short on a fishing trip. Shame. Really liked that one but needs must.

Wasn’t the wearing of scarves around the wrist a Bay City Rollers thing?

When I arrived in Newcastle in 1971 I had of course a red/white scarf and a red beanie hat. As a naive Scunthonian I couldn’t understand why the less than friendly Geordies kept spitting on me and calling me a filthy Mackem!

Fifty years on I still hold a grudge!

Don’t know if The Bay City Rollers started the scarf on wrist trend or they copied it. I suspect the the latter. Looks like it may have peaked with them though. Lol, nice mock ups…

Hopefully not the one I dumped at Normanby Hall! Thick overprinted lettering that started peeling off leaving sharp edges that chafed yer neck! Before the lettering was woven in. Red and white satin (nylon) scarf – had one of those. Bit of static going on!

Was at a freezing cold Victoria Park yesterday to watch our next opponents do a smash and grab job on Pools.

Chester won 2-0 with a breakaway goal in each half, but if they had 35% possession that’s generous.

They’ve got a well organised defence with two tall CBS (Williams & Burke) who win everything in the air, and their CF Charlie Caton is very quick and has an excellent first touch.

Elliot Whitehouse scored their first. He’s still jogging along in midfield but does the break up of play bit well.

The good news for us was that a couple of players hobbled off with injuries late on, whereas we’ve had a fortnight to rest up.

They are beatable but we’ll have to play through them. Lumping balls up to Whitehall and Bennett won’t work on yesterday’s showing.

Noggers still got a couple of seats left for Blyth, Cass. Don’t expect it to be tropical there either, furthest north for a game for me.

I am going for a result of Chester 1 Scunny 1, but I hope that we can get a win of any score, we must keep at the top end of this League, and gain automatic promotion this season. The team have got the players to do this, and certainly have a good following of fans both home and away, and also now have a supportive owner in charge of the club. Good luck, and lets get three points.

We’ll win 2-0. Law and max is back so that will make us stronger and saw clunan in the training pictures so we’re a hell of a lot stronger now.

    Elliot and scales to notch.

Gone with 2-1 to the Iron.

Looking forward to watching us play in Chester 40 years since my last football visit.

Different ground and different club that day but we did win promotion despite having an arsehole for a manager at the time.

Saw us win promotion at Chester too, pushing forty years ago also. The main stand from Sealand Road is now the away stand at Port Vale.
