Several championship clubs lining up bids for Charlie !!
One season away from our off field ‘experts’, one season as a starter in his position and one season as captain.
Was STUPID to let him go then but if he moves to a championship club shows that whoever is/was making the decisions does need to question are they good for the club.
July 29, 2020 at 3:54 pm #192616Still think he’ll struggle in L1 and has no hope in the Championship. Just one experts opinion of course.
July 29, 2020 at 4:08 pm #192619I don’t think you can blame those experts for the club bringing out the worst of Charlie’s game. Maybe they just failed to identify the cause of the problem?
July 29, 2020 at 4:15 pm #192620Not as bad as the appalling Lyle Taylor decision but …
July 29, 2020 at 5:33 pm #192622Or Matt Godden a few years ago.
July 29, 2020 at 7:18 pm #192624Lost any respect for him that night with his action and re action to getting KVV sent off.
There is obviously something very wrong at the Club when we let player after player go and they all seem to go on to better things !
Possibly Levi Sutton the next one ? And from what I understand we have no sell on clause with him because we did not offer him a contract !July 29, 2020 at 8:16 pm #192627Possibly Levi Sutton the next one ?
I doubt it. He’s poor.
July 30, 2020 at 2:12 pm #192633On the plus side….it means our scouts are doing a decent job in finding talent? Just looking for a silver lining!
July 30, 2020 at 10:37 pm #192646Aye, a bit like finding an Armani suit in a charity shop. Buy it, wear it once then give it away to another charity shop!
July 31, 2020 at 8:56 am #192650Nice analogy – but Godden, Goode & Sutton had more than one ‘wearing’ and showed they were more Burtons than Armani.
July 31, 2020 at 10:05 am #192656I reckon our “Burton” suit was worn out when we got it! Spent a lot of time in the wardrobe.
August 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm #192718Another good podcast.
Interesting stuff and Charlie, like Tom Hopper, comes across as a level-headed young man.
Once again the quality of Mirf and Murray is highlighted. And the importance of Lucetti in Alexander’s early successes.
“Contractgate” cropped up again too.
Good luck to the lad at Northampton.
August 1, 2020 at 12:16 pm #192724Northampton manager has shown great faith in him.
