Several championship clubs lining up bids for Charlie !!
One season away from our off field ‘experts’, one season as a starter in his position and one season as captain.
Was STUPID to let him go then but if he moves to a championship club shows that whoever is/was making the decisions does need to question are they good for the club.
Still think he’ll struggle in L1 and has no hope in the Championship. Just one experts opinion of course.
I don’t think you can blame those experts for the club bringing out the worst of Charlie’s game. Maybe they just failed to identify the cause of the problem?
Not as bad as the appalling Lyle Taylor decision but …
Or Matt Godden a few years ago.
Lost any respect for him that night with his action and re action to getting KVV sent off.
There is obviously something very wrong at the Club when we let player after player go and they all seem to go on to better things !
Possibly Levi Sutton the next one ? And from what I understand we have no sell on clause with him because we did not offer him a contract !
Possibly Levi Sutton the next one ?
I doubt it. He’s poor.
On the plus side….it means our scouts are doing a decent job in finding talent? Just looking for a silver lining!
Aye, a bit like finding an Armani suit in a charity shop. Buy it, wear it once then give it away to another charity shop!
Nice analogy – but Godden, Goode & Sutton had more than one ‘wearing’ and showed they were more Burtons than Armani.
I reckon our “Burton” suit was worn out when we got it! Spent a lot of time in the wardrobe.
Another good podcast.
Interesting stuff and Charlie, like Tom Hopper, comes across as a level-headed young man.
Once again the quality of Mirf and Murray is highlighted. And the importance of Lucetti in Alexander’s early successes.
“Contractgate” cropped up again too.
Good luck to the lad at Northampton.
Northampton manager has shown great faith in him.
