Havnt you taken yours today
March 26, 2025 at 9:01 pm #300802Why not you only want me tell what you want and lm not going to do that
What I want is for you to tell us just what the CEO has brought to the club so far. Positives only, we know the negatives.
March 26, 2025 at 9:05 pm #300808With Scunthorpe United clearly feeling the strain financially, it raises the question of whether the club is truly benefiting from keeping a CEO on the payroll. Cutting the CEO position could be a significant step toward lowering the monthly wage costs.
March 26, 2025 at 9:08 pm #300809You are missing the point keep slagging him off like you all do what are you going to achieve he goes what’s next.May be nothing

It’s you that’s missing the point. You’re being asked to say what you think he’s brought to the club so far, so that people can engage with your side of things in a constructive way.

There is, as Michelle has said, definitely a need for someone to take the day-to-day pressure off her back. Does it need to be an expensive and untested CEO?
March 26, 2025 at 9:16 pm #300812I think he’s brought alot more to the club more to the club more than you and I but perhaps your a director tell me if you know bett6

Right. So what does “alot more to the club more to the club more” mean? Are you Bruce Forsyth?
Seriously, though. What does “a lot more” mean? You’ll have to be specific.

March 26, 2025 at 9:22 pm #300814No I’m still alive
March 26, 2025 at 9:22 pm #300815While it’s possible the CEO has made contributions behind the scenes, from what I can observe, there isn’t much in the way of clear evidence to demonstrate substantial value added to the club. If he has had a significant impact, it would be good to see concrete examples of his achievements that justify the role and salary.

March 26, 2025 at 9:27 pm #300818Let’s say for sake or argument he is paid 50k, as a rule of thumb he should be bringing in 3x salary into the club so would hope to see 150k of extra revenue to the club.
March 26, 2025 at 9:28 pm #300820I totally agree with you but we are paying for people stop moaning use them as long as they are being paid
March 26, 2025 at 9:35 pm #300822Didn’t watch the banter Hour with him but presume it was buzzwords and empty platitudes. Mission statement below (Chat GPT?).
“I am very proud to be joining Scunthorpe United at such an exciting time in the long history of the club. What has been achieved here over the past 12 months by Michelle, Ian, George and Roj – not to mention the fans, sponsors, and the local business community – is truly inspiring and now the challenge is to embrace the Iron spirit that runs through this town and build a new era of success.
“Our owners want to give the fans the football club they deserve: a responsible, sustainable community asset that creates social value through success both on and off the pitch. Obviously this role is a new challenge for me but I think I can bring a fresh perspective on how we can achieve this vision together, as well as a strong network of contacts within football and beyond.
“Fundamentally I believe in the power of football as a force for good, and I am so excited by the opportunity to help make that happen here.”March 26, 2025 at 9:37 pm #300824Good luck

Is he still ‘working’ from home some of the time?
What days is he in at GP?March 27, 2025 at 7:01 am #300856Let’s say for sake or argument he is paid 50k, as a rule of thumb he should be bringing in 3x salary into the club so would hope to see 150k of extra revenue to the club.
Agreed… 3 times salary is a standard minimum bench mark.
iMacRodwell was on £5k a week.
Kenny Roberts won’t be getting out of bed for £18.64 per hour [based on a 40hr week] / £38,771 per annum after deductions.
Mechanics are working on £60 an hour, plumbers £80 an hour – before deductions.
I’d guess that Kenny ‘Baldrick’ Roberts is going to be on no less than £2k per week or £104,000 pa.
Even then, he’d make more money fixing cars.
March 27, 2025 at 3:35 pm #300905What has Mr Roberts brought to the table since his arrival then?
– Stadium weekender/Tom Zanetti
– FC100000
– Bad vibes (allegedly)Anything else?
We can add two motorbike nights to the list, as a second one has just been announced.

There was an ‘ITK’ account on Twitter the other week claiming it’s £50k, part time and hybrid

A part-time, pop in pop out CEO on £50k a year.
How accommodating of us!
How part time is he? Number of contracted hours?Get Beeby or Gricey back in… they are both Scunny daft and would do it full time onsite for that sort of salary, probably.

A motorbike night. Hows that work then? People turn up, polish their bikes and ride around the car park?
Is that one of Kenny Baldrick’s ideas?March 28, 2025 at 5:43 pm #301053https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2025/march/update-from-the-ceo/
A lot of text but not really saying a lot. No mention of FC100000

March 28, 2025 at 5:50 pm #301060I’m guessing the ” mostly” comment referred to the coked up bell end on the half time mic, he won’t mention the FC100000 because Michelle discussed it on the radio and on the website and he wont want any association with it now, that is bad PR.

March 28, 2025 at 6:08 pm #301070“lining up internationally-renowned artists alongside homegrown talent, attracting investment, creating new jobs and generating a buzz around the town” – Kenny Baldrick Roberts.
internationally renowned artists – who?
attracting investment – where, what?
creating new jobs – doing what?
generating a buzz – as demonstrated by Zanetti.
A ‘statement’ just to let us know he was in the office today. Reactionary!
March 28, 2025 at 6:10 pm #301071The lads got no idea!
