The totalitarian state is starting to take shape nicely now.
Only a few months ago it was a conspiracy theory and laughed at on here, but hey, let’s keep laughing and calling it a conspiracy theory.

The fact that society is becoming cashless wasn’t what was labelled as a conspiracy theory. The sinister theorising behind it was. ;-)

Godless society now cashless society bill, your golden perfect era is rapidly dwindling. It’s called progress I believe and will continue long after we all are gone, yes mistakes will be made but eventually it will even itself out.

Nuanced and complex problems societies face creates uncertainty and anxiety in many. Hence why the conspiracies are so appealing. They offer a simplistic solution full of certainty. It’s less anxiety inducing, when you don’t like the idea of a cashless society, to think this is some nefarious plot with only downsides, over thinking there will be pros and cons, where there may be a less definitive right or wrong.

Quite right Siderite. You’ve explained it very well I think. I have a few friends who were once healthily sceptical and cynical. Since the pandemic started they’re now full tilt tin hatters. I do believe they’re being conned.

Did Noah use cash when he went down to the diy to get his ark building supplies?

Or did he use a card?

Probably put it on credit knowing the timber merchant would be dead in forty days!

Maybe he put a pair of Unicorns down as a deposit and that’s why etc etc

The way supporters are handling what’s happening at the club is a good reflection of society. Increasing conspiracy theories, division, and misdirected anger, witch hunts and scapegoats. It’s all on t’other side chaps!

With the Queen’s passing it’s probably a good opportunity to get rid of bank notes and coins.

Don’t really need them now and it would save the Treasury billions not having to mint and print new issues bearing King Charles’s head.

Likewise stamps. Simple barcode stickers is all that’s needed.

All very well for you technically savvy youngsters. Many pensioners have no idea what a bar code is. Few of them have computer keyboard skills even if they have access to a computer. A cashless society would be of no use to them. At my advanced age I do have basic computer literacy, but I still get great comfort from having a few quid in my pocket.

Oh God. BPG is going to have the Queen’s death as part of ‘the plan’ for the great reset, isn’t he? X-)

    Just call me Derek Acorah!

But it does have more serious and far-reaching implications.

A “modernised” Monarchy? Not with a 73 year old as head. Less pomp and ceremony? Doesn’t look like it. Less money spent on the Royal Family? Nope, probably a lot more.

Her passing, as sad as it is, could have been a watershed. I doubt very much if it will be.

Johnson’s decision to tick off his bucket list after announcing he’d resign looks a great idea now we are in further political stagnation because of this, all during a time where governance is needed.

Will this unparalleled week of events, a new PM taking over and a monarch dying after an unprecedented 70 years on the throne, give LT the chance to fly under the radar for a couple of weeks whilst the majority of the nation is in shock and mourning ?

Cashless is the right way to go, with this Tory inflation catastrophe we’re experiencing,we’ll soon need a wheelbarrow of cash to buy a pint

Rishi Sunak = cashless society ( Labour would back it as well)
The future is grim, the totalitarian state is just around the corner.
Freedom is being eroded before our very eyes.
The globalist agenda “ you will own nothing but you will be happy” is taking shape .
