Two shots though they were both on target in 94 minutes.

But both from defenders, meaning our front 6 haven’t had an effort on target for over 180 minutes. Too busy defending I suppose.

    We have a front six?
I thought we had a back ten and a goalie

The 6 playing slightly in front of the back 4, 3 of whom are occasionally to be seen in the opposition half.

Wootton and Hopper were far better players than Loft, Hippolyte, Green, Jarvis, Mooney or Olomola, but with Cox as manager nothing will ever change, he is 100% defensivly minded and supporters will drift away from watching his style of boring rubbish. We average abouty 2 or if we are lucky 3 shots on target per 95 min game, and about 3.25 mins actually in the other teams third of the pitch, so keep supporting Co and you will have two reasons to point to regarding loss of fans, Corvid-19 and your manager, you seem blind to the fact that the team is set up entirely wrong, and is void of entertainment and enjoyment, armant supporters can take this for only so long, and that time has surely arrived. It’s fine Swann saying he wants supporters to keep with the club, but they have to offer a little in order for this to happen. You may think that I am moaning too much, but are there any fans that are enjoying what is being served up on the pitch????

Yes your moaning to much BS, Hopper had 3 full seasons and scored 8,5,7 in those seasons,Wotton 11goals in 5 seasons, didn’t start scoring decently till he went to non lge notts county. So at the moment Loft will do for me.

We do have a history of strikers that are “crap” while they are here suddenly becoming much better elsewhere – Godden, Lyle Taylor, Hopper and Wooton to name but four.

Maybe we were spoiled by Sharpe and Hooper who seemed to be able to score even when we were not playing well.

I said at the time that we should have signed Godden up to another deal and sent him out on loan to get games. I said the same about Wootton as well.

Don’t even get me started with Goode. Gave him away for free and then was sold for just short of a million quid.

These younger players need games or at least a long term vision in which we sign them up and send them out on loan. All we end up doing is dipping them in and out and just leaving them to stagnate.

Release on a free so they go out and get games, develop and then end up being much better than what we’ve currently got.

    Same story every time.

I hope we give Jessop a go up there along with Loft once we’re definitely safe.

I also thought we should have busted a gut to sign Ivan Toney when he was here.

It was obvious he was a goal scorer, but we kept the chequebook closed and brought in Olomola instead.

We gave Godden and Wootton 5years to make it and they didn’t, both had loan spells elsewhere, 5 years of wages for very little return. And don’t forget how tolerant Scunny fans are, we give everybody a chance to prove themselves “Not” Ivan Toney was disliked by many and was never forgiven for trying to take that penalty which Morris went on to miss, the same season fans wanted rid of Alexander and Swanny did get rid.

Sort of contradicted yourself there awaywego. You implied we gave Godden and Wooton plenty of time and chances but then knock the fans not being tolerant. You can’t have it both ways. Anyway, it still comes back to big question marks over why these players spent so long here and achieved little but flourished elsewhere. And it’s little to do with the fans IMO.

The club gave them plenty of time Deerey, sorry should have made it clearer. Has for players not flourishing here,we could say the same about many we acquired Hayes and Hooper to name but 2.

Except they were pre-Swann. What about in his tenure? Not that many and not to their high levels. Forwards in particular.
