Butler says we’re going to be the fittest side in the league so players such as Pugh and Shrimpton could be back in favour.

Shrimpton and Pugh both need to be retained as they’ve proven they can easily perform at this level, won’t be on too much and will do everything they can for the club.

They’ve shown they can hold their own in mid-table NLN teams. Pugh in particular has shown little in an Iron shirt IMO. Can’t disagree with the financial and effort part which might just swing it for them. Squad players at best for me.

Shrimpton was one of the key players for Spennymoor who we’re at one point the most inform team in the league and Pugh was playing brilliantly for Hereford who were at the time pushing for a play off.

No idea where the midtable part comes from, but nevertheless they’re more than good enough.

    1-8 top
    9-16 mid
    17-24 bottom
    9th & 11th in a 24 team league seems pretty mid-table to me.

Hope Fin and Tom are here for 2024/2025 season. Both show they are more than capable when selected by someone who knows what they are doing.

    Fit and hard working.

Hopefully ABs taken notes on how they were played to their strengths and talks to them about it to get the best from them. Should they be here.

“Despite offers from further up the pyramid, Jono Greening is delighted to add Cam to his squad for next season.”

Yeah, right!! Didn’t fancy Arsenal then?

    Maybe not arsenal !
I think Wilson is a good player with a lot of potential who suffered from starting his playing career in 2 of our worse seasons ever.
There was actually some merit in last season’s system of loaning players out in the same league to play against rivals but not us.
    Anyway, good luck Cam.

Good luck to Cam. Sad it didn’t work out with us but hope Mr Greening can get him back on track.

Unlike JB not overly fussed where Wilson plays or how he gets on , attitude issues if i recall and he never really did amount to much other than the odd rare bit of magic.
Apparently he turned down Barca to join Scarboro solely as he loves the beach and candy floss.

He’ll probably thrive under Greening. I fully expect him to come back to haunt us when we face Scarborough.

Wish him all the best. Certainly has some ability but perhaps needs to work on his application. Like Beestin he seemed to stagnate in the last season or so and will probably flourish with a new challenge.
