Think Rene got some ” real ale ” down him before he posted that league table.
August 28, 2024 at 8:59 pm #290202It’s their table, not mine.
Just sayin.August 28, 2024 at 9:04 pm #290204Just sayin you posted it, sober up man.

August 28, 2024 at 9:07 pm #290207Told you on spreadsheet wed win the league, should stand a good chance of going up in the playoffs next season to.
August 29, 2024 at 5:26 am #290214Maybe just a tad naive?
August 29, 2024 at 8:58 am #290215An invitation to complacency if the players see that?
August 29, 2024 at 9:17 am #290217Think the players might piss themselves laughing if they see that, what a crock of horse shit.

Agreed. The total they predict says we will only drop 16 points all season.
We’ve dropped two points already.
I’m expecting a draw Friday evening.
So after just 6 games we’d have dropped 25% of our predicted dropped points.
Extrapolate to the end of the season would see us finish on 107 points.
The ‘mighty’ Tamworth weren’t even centurions last year… finishing on 96 points.
Fylde the season before completed on 95 points.
If we finish on 90 plus then we’ll either be champions or fighting fit for the play offs.August 29, 2024 at 10:10 am #29022490 points by early March and promoted before Easter, yes please.
August 29, 2024 at 10:27 am #290226Prompted some interesting links on my phone. ‘How to walk a cake’, ‘how to walk on a cake’ for instance. Stuff I’ve always wanted to know tbh.

August 29, 2024 at 10:31 am #290227A good lesson on the importance of “sample size” in statistics.

Saw a bloke once dragging an Eccles cake along on a piece of string, he told me it was the currant thing to do.

September 4, 2024 at 4:39 am #290486The dry docking and refitting went well.
The re-launch ceremony was well attended and a success with the ship safely clearing the slipway.
She’s negotiated the estuary successfully and heads out in to open water.
The new Captain has assembled a fine set of officers and has licked his crew in to shape.
The voyage is in its infancy, but it could be a fantastic one!UTI.
September 4, 2024 at 4:42 am #290487September 4, 2024 at 9:36 am #290488Keep that form up and we might just ‘scrape the playoffs’. :-)
September 4, 2024 at 10:38 am #290490The downside, Rene, is that we have conceded a goal!
September 4, 2024 at 11:01 am #290491That was no Cakewalk last night against Curzon, that was hard work! whilst, from watching their previous highlights, I was prepated for the way Curzon would play, I was not prepared for the organisation and accuracy with which they would apply themselves. Credit to AB and all the players for the organisation and commitment they showed to earn that result!

September 4, 2024 at 12:53 pm #290496Tbh, we made it easier for them in the first half when we weren’t quite at it and sloppy. Credit to the players and coaching team addressing some of the issues at half time. I’m optimistic. I think there’s a lot more to come from the squad.

September 4, 2024 at 4:04 pm #290504We were really poor compared to how we played against Kidderminster and yet still won. Much, much more to come from us.
September 4, 2024 at 4:17 pm #290506HMS PTL is getting ready for another promotion voyage. This time we have a captain who knows how to turn the wheel and where we’re actually going. We won’t run out of coal and won’t hit any icebergs this time around.
September 4, 2024 at 4:52 pm #290508Let’s hope she doesn’t sink along with your grand statement!
September 4, 2024 at 4:58 pm #290510Certainly not. Every point will have to be earned. Complacency has no place at this club now.

Feels different now. This team has that bit of class when needed but also the fitness, toughness and organization coupled with a manager who actually knows how to manage. The way were playing reminds me of Tamworth, but we’re the upgraded version when it comes to quality moments.
September 4, 2024 at 10:03 pm #290523Tell you all what the whole thing feels different, the team, the squad fitness and attitude, the management of said team and different tactics used from game to game, the willingness to change shape to change structure to use subs in a more logical way and not forgetting the feel good factor and incredible buzz amongst all the supporters particularly at home games. Guys there will be rough patches to come along the journey as we pick our way through 46 league games but the foundations are in place throughout the club and it’s fanbase to be successful this season. Just feels a great vibe to me.

And this is just how quickly things can change in football as its gone a tad pear shaped since this post only 5 weeks ago.
October 13, 2024 at 4:11 am #291917NLN Table from Flashscore site .. just noticed only 6 points separating the top 10 places and just how few teams are registering defeats in the right hand colour last 5 games form section.
No cakewalk for sure i reckon gonna be tight all season n go down to the wire.
