Sad to report the recent loss of Trev Wells. A great pal and in my 52 years commentating on Scunthorpe Hospital Radio – our paths overlapped for well over 35 of those years.
Amiable, kind, down-to earth – a true gentleman.
His incredible Lincs accent contrasted brilliantly with the more standard voices on the commentary team.
In any team of three, his incredible football knowledge from years of local reffing put some of us to shame!

Met Trevor many times over the years through local leagues. Scunthorpe through and through and sad to read he had passed away. He will not be forgotten. RIP Mr Wells.
