Cox even though not here will have had a hand in that but Lillis, jesus christ. Sorry but he’s had his day but he needs binning off with Cox.
All the supposed trouble makers were dumped out and still the same problems are there. The common denominators are Cox and Lillis.
Way out of their depth.
Beestin not even starting ?. O’Neil coming on ahead of Jarvis even though he looks miles off it.
What a fucking mess !. That today in the team selection was shambolic and downright bizarre.
Looks like we got Wood and Hackney on loan deals with the understanding they had to play. Put in a good performance versus Tranmere and we completely rip it all up.
Wood even though he struggled today still looks half decent but Hackney needs benching A.S.A.P. I had concerns whether he’d be fit for this level and clearly he isn’t. I suspect in a better team with time on the ball he’d be fine but at this level he’s a luxury player/passenger.
Perry was utter shit as well but I feel somewhat sorry for him. Beestin not starting is absolute madness. Now either Cox or Lillis came up with the bright idea to stick Perry deep in front of the back 4 but he’s a forward thinking ball player for christ sake, he shouldn’t have even been there.
Wood and Hackney got completely bossed. They’re still kids and both looked lost. I’d be ok with Wood partnering Beestin but not 2 kids together. Stupid !
Never have I been more confused with the inner workings of a football manager than today. What a confusing pile of shit that was.
All we ended up with was square pegs in round holes with our best CM on the bench. I’ve seen some odd things in my time but that even left me speechless.
Perry playing as a deep defensive midfielder despite being a forward thinking ball player. Beestin benched. A RB playing CB. An unfit Millen getting 90 minutes at RB. 2 midgets upfront with no height which meant ball kept coming back and two kids in CM who got completely overrun and bullied.
O’Neil came on instead of Jarvis..another odd one.
Why field a completely disjointed team when you can go 4/4/2 and at least play people where they should be played ?.
Stick Hippolyte wide left, Bunn wide right and Beestin and Wood or Pugh in CM with 2 strikers, Jarvis “for his height” and Scrimshaw. Flat back with Rowe at RB “natural position” instead of playing at CB and certainly instead of an unfit Millen. Davis and Taft pick themselves as no Manny with Thompson at LB.
Those two idiots “cox and Lillis” have shoehorned certain players into a system they had no business even playing.
Stick players where they should be played for crying out loud.
Not hard to workout.
I know Swann is the real one to blame here but he’s not going to move anytime soon and it still doesn’t change the fact Lillis and Cox need binning off.
New squad of players and still clueless. I don’t know what’s been put across by Cox but whatever it is, it’s utter shite.

September 11, 2021 at 8:43 pm #213521The value from today’s match ticket came in the form of watching Millen trying to track their winger first half.
September 11, 2021 at 8:55 pm #213525Millen looked a million miles away but he looked absolutely shattered from around the 20 minute mark. Millen shouldn’t even have started, you could tell he’s nowhere near match fit.
Perry tracking Exeter’s best player in Jay in a defensive midfield shielding role, despite him being a forward thinking ball playing CM.
LoL Honestly
I have to laugh because that was embarrassing.

Probably just as well, how long would the OP have been otherwise?

September 11, 2021 at 10:26 pm #213544playing 5 at the back at home and losing 4-0 which should have been 6 or 7.
I actually enjoyed the Tranmere match – how did we get to this???
September 12, 2021 at 12:46 am #213549Whilst you keep turning up to see such rubbish, things will remain as they are, simply because I do not honestly think that Swann and Cox know what the hell they are doing. Just all stay away and make Swann take some action, if not we will not have a club next year, amazing that you lot cannot see what is happening.

September 13, 2021 at 9:21 am #213605I look forward to the high calibre candidates who’ll be rushing to submit applications to replace Cox.
September 13, 2021 at 9:47 am #213610Assuming he’s gone/going.

September 13, 2021 at 6:12 pm #213637Whether Neil stays or goes I would like to extend my sympathies to him and his family for the sudden loss of his Dad. Never an easy time for any family losing a parent and in this case it appears to have happened very quickly. Stay strong Neil.
