As an aside, I’ve been in Gordon Taylor’s office years ago. Had a mini bar in it, as I recall. And that famous Lowry painting ‘Going to the Match’. Thought that was pretty cool.

Wait n see if the players get paid … even if they do cant seem them being overly enthused on the pitch knowing the sh8t has hit the fan and all what DH and SADLY possibly JD promised was a crock of poop.

There’s a whole day to go before it yet. A quiet day isn’t the norm.

If the players get paid they should play and give 100%, they are professionals and playing is what they are paid to do. If they don’t get paid they should strike and the PFA should sue the club on the players behalf for breach of contract.

Any point in sueing a club with no money and already heavily in debt? They’ll be lucky to get 1p in the £

Just been shown a clip of Jimmy Dean on Sky Sports News today. I really feel for him and I think I was wrong about not going tomorrow. I’ve donated to the fund and will be there tomorrow.

question .. the gate receipts for todays Buxton game where will they go ? .. im hoping not one penny finds its way to Hilton it should go to paying staff , players etc

Happily donated ..twice in fact, one personally and another nice joint donation with my bizz partners here who are Norwich city and West Ham fans , both know what SUFC means to me and i thanked them myself and on behalf of every Scunny fan.

They were / are my thoughts too.

Is it better to not go and to donate whatever you would spend getting to / watching / at the game to the fundraiser?

I just hope the fans behave today during the game, after, pitch invasion, sit in whatever fine so long as no damage caused, hopefully we’ll need the ground in the future without it there’s no future. Wish I could be there today with everyone I’m sure the atmosphere will be special again, hope for a win for everyone.

Could be tricky as he’s still the owner. Will the remaining board members have the authority?

Can’t be there sadly. In the middle of another uni run. I’ll donate the admission fee though. Do parents ever stop paying their kids way?? Spending more on them than ever ffs!

sad times indeed , i hope there is a huge turn out today and JD and the players are given a massive reception.

TBH it would be nice to win and be toppa the table but with the clubs future hanging by a thread how much does it matter it seems a mere secondary issue in the background.

Butler, aged 39. Registered and on the bench.
He’ll get a huge cheer if he comes on!

Hearing the game has been abandoned, waterlogged pitch, is that correct?

    Scunthorpe 0-2 Buxton 16/1

    Scunthorpe 0-3 Buxton 35/1

    The two bets I did.
Sorry, I don’t know how to post a photo here.

I’ve got a photo of the bet if someone tells me how to do it.

Sorry, but I knew it would go Pete Tonge today.

    Iron 2-1 Bucks
    Att: 2,387

After today’s chaos I’m now going:

    Iron 0-2 Bucks
    Att: 1,948

    What’s the attendance?
    Sounds big?

William Hill need to sort their software out!

I heard the penalty go in… yet it was still offering me a £11.25 return on each pound to cash out.

So, I obviously cashed the 0-2 out.

I’ve still got the 0-3 bet running.

Every cloud has a silver lining!
