Topics: 67The stats are ‘predicting’ another 3-1 win to the Iron.
The shortest priced correct scorecard is 1-0 to the Iron at 24/5
Iron 3-1 Bucks is 12/1
4-0 (25/1) and 4/1 (28/1) look interesting ‘insurance’
September 6, 2023 at 9:03 am #271124This has ‘spanking’ vibes. I’m going 5-0

September 6, 2023 at 9:37 am #271132“Iron” & “Bucks” on the same line?
Not seen that for a while!
I predict 20pts on the board come Saturday.

I’m going to go with 3,891
September 6, 2023 at 12:10 pm #271161They have a very dangerous midfielder – Sam Osborne. We need to keep focused and take nothing for granted – look at Alfreton away last night 0-0.
I am sure the players and Jimmy D will be well aware.

Nice. Fiver on that it is!
September 6, 2023 at 1:51 pm #271168Buxton are 9th in the table.
They are unbeaten in their last 5.
They have conceded 5 goals in 8 games.
Somebody might be due a spanking but, based on the above, I can’t see why it will be them.1 user thanked author for this post.
September 6, 2023 at 2:04 pm #271169I’ll go for 2-1 to us. Elliot and Wilson scoring.
September 6, 2023 at 2:17 pm #271170Nothing scientific or stats based CT. Just got a feeling about it based on form, opportunities being created, weather etc. We’ll see
September 6, 2023 at 3:07 pm #271175If you’re right then go out and buy a lottery ticket. In fact get me one as well and maybe one of us can help DH out.
September 6, 2023 at 4:30 pm #271181I thought he had enough funds to purchase GP? Shouldn’t need a huge windfall.
September 6, 2023 at 10:26 pm #271208This match gives Scunny a very good chance of more progress at the top of the NLN.
I feel that the Scunthorpe team are a cut above the other team standard, and could pull away from the challengers.I am going for a forcast of :- Scunthorpe 3 Buxton 0.
Attendance figure of :- 4,023.Please don’t Prediction League members all go for this score, it will spoil the competition ha ha!
September 7, 2023 at 6:39 am #271213Could be a tricky one this, IMO our biggest threat is complacency.

September 7, 2023 at 10:21 am #271220Buxton have a good side. Tough game.

September 7, 2023 at 11:41 am #271224I wonder if Smithy will get a start, methinks he will be an important player for us this season. Price to score first with bet void if he doesn’t start?
September 7, 2023 at 1:16 pm #271225Smith should start as Scales is now out for 3 games.

My lot (WH) haven’t had our fixture listed all day… which seems strange, as all the other NLN games are?

Agreed. Looks a prospect.
September 7, 2023 at 3:34 pm #271228Buxton clear at the top of the form table if you take it over the last 4 games. Scoring lots of goals too.
Could be our toughest test so far.
September 8, 2023 at 2:50 am #271249Defo a possible banana skin this one .. Buxton a team no body has really fancied to do well but they are rattling in the goals and as previously mentioned top the form table…Fitz needs to be on form as do his defense… Mid field will be key missing a bit of grit with Clunan, Scales n Beestin all out.
Hoping Smith in for Scales .. so good luck to the lad on his full home debut if that happens.
Prediction.. a few goals in this one so im going
3-2
att 3899Hoping to actually have time to tune in as i missed the SSD game cos of work commitments and it being horrible KO time.
September 8, 2023 at 6:10 am #271251Isn’t ‘the fortnight’ now up for Roberts and Clunan?
Not back in full training?September 8, 2023 at 9:14 am #271255Wasn’t the last info on Clunan from Jimmy that he was having a scan just to check everything was going ok?, Roberts to step up his training in about a week was also the info at the same time I believe.
September 8, 2023 at 9:36 am #271256Thanks.
September 8, 2023 at 10:49 am #271261Am hoping roberts makes the bench on saturday as there is a place available. Jimmy said the alfreton and south shields games were a week too early so he maybe be ready for this one
September 8, 2023 at 11:00 am #271264I would think it is safer to keep Roberts (and Clunan if he is OK by then) for the FA cup game the following week.
Assume Jimmy will start with a team of squad players that need match fitness in that game which is much less important than League games this season.
September 8, 2023 at 12:33 pm #271268I hope we put a decent team out against Brackley next week seeing it seems forever since we won a Cup game
September 8, 2023 at 2:16 pm #271278Roberts out for another 2 to 3 months
September 8, 2023 at 2:32 pm #271281Shame, was looking forward to seeing what this lad can do.
September 8, 2023 at 2:45 pm #271282I would be surprised if Dean doesn’t field a very strong 11 v Brackley as a good cup run would help pay off those debts and high wages. Oh, sorry, he doesn’t need the funds, he’s minted…
