December 26, 2024 at 5:06 pm #296108December 26, 2024 at 5:08 pm #296109I agree. Both me and 64 are being sarcastic.
December 26, 2024 at 5:10 pm #296110We looked shaky at times, particularly near the end – but there was far more sound passing than we’ve seen in any three games combined in recent history.
The Farsley result was better but that had more to do with Farsley’s abysmal form at that point and today’s game saw plentiful real passing.
Has a corner been turned? (It certainly seems to have been so for Farsley.)
For AB’s sake, as well as the club’s – let us hope so!December 26, 2024 at 5:11 pm #296111He wouldn’t have had to make changes if he’d played the right players some time last month
December 26, 2024 at 5:11 pm #296112Yeah Les thanks for reminding me,the opposition were crap

December 26, 2024 at 5:13 pm #296114That League table doesn’t look too bad now!! Really looking forward to 31st. A debut at Glanford Park for my 7 year old ‘southern’ Grandson too.
December 26, 2024 at 5:13 pm #296115Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
December 26, 2024 at 5:20 pm #296116There’s just been a flood warning on Humberside, apparently awaywego’s tears have stressed the flood barriers
December 26, 2024 at 5:27 pm #296118The Butler will clear it up.
December 26, 2024 at 5:31 pm #296119That League table doesn’t look too bad now!! Really looking forward to 31st. A debut at Glanford Park for my 7 year old ‘southern’ Grandson too.
The league table looks crap! If we’d turned half of those draws into wins we’d be clear. Okay it’s all “ifs”, but you know we should have!
December 26, 2024 at 5:35 pm #296121That we still have a chance of being top should give a hint that we’re not going to sack Butler and the club aren’t going to release emergency statements. The football is rubbish, but the standard of football is poor at this level.
December 26, 2024 at 5:45 pm #296123Clunan found the space he must have been long craving today; Williams brought depth when he came on; Denton looked decent – and what a goal-line save!
Carlton looked as if might need longer studs but was sharp. Defence was sound but I’d prefer to see the line be 10 yards further forward. I don’t like opposition forwards lurking on the edge of the box.1 user thanked author for this post.
December 26, 2024 at 5:49 pm #296124I know it was rubbish and I didn’t even see it.
December 26, 2024 at 5:53 pm #296125Clunan lol,he’s supposed to dictate games so I hear
December 26, 2024 at 5:53 pm #296126One man’s ‘crap’ is another one’s ‘not too bad.’ It’s certainly a better looking table than when I checked in with 25 mins to go.:)
December 26, 2024 at 5:56 pm #296128Hereford got a tonking, and were the better team v us last week. Curzon could have been well clear but now slip up conceding for fun. It’s a very poor league so there are still opportunities for us. We’ve played by far the worse football I’ve ever seen us play and we’re one win off top! We need to start scoring more freely and from other players to maintain our chances

December 26, 2024 at 5:59 pm #296130December 26, 2024 at 6:04 pm #296131Still Butler out for me, as the crowd that stayed behind last week sang “his football is shite” even if we do attain promotion, change it and entertain and i change stance as well.
And where were you on Dean this time last season 64.
December 26, 2024 at 6:14 pm #296132Hated him, hate him now too.Just a Hilton puppet .Like all his mates he should have gone when Hilton did.
Worse than Butler, had a much bigger budget and still failed.I hear and see clowns calling for his returnDecember 26, 2024 at 6:33 pm #296133An away win and clean sheet
But but the players didn’t put any change in Stuey/Susan’s bucket when they left
Booooooooooooooooo!
December 26, 2024 at 6:46 pm #296134Unbeaten in six
December 26, 2024 at 8:20 pm #296137Didn’t you hate Peter Swann as well 64.
December 26, 2024 at 8:31 pm #296138Clunan lol,he’s supposed to dictate games so I hear
He did it superbly, didn’t you see him pointing to where people should run/pass. His dialogue with the ref. was also first class, what more do you want? Goals?
December 26, 2024 at 8:37 pm #296139A win on the road is never to be sniffed at; a more open game then recent encounters which at least made it a bearable watch.
Good to see Rowley and Carlton get some more minutes in the legs, having Carlton out there and Roberts the other side could give us some genuine width which in turn may create more for the strikers.
Curzon have surprised me by the last couple of performances, the league is wide open again and there for the taking for anyone who can put some form together.
For how tough recent games have been in terms of entertainment, we are 3 wins and 3 draws better off with only one conceded.
December 27, 2024 at 10:07 am #296148That time of year when teams with thin squads are suffering from injuries and suspensions.
Small clubs with poorer training facilities and part-time players are finding it harder to prepare for games.
We should be in a stronger position than most. Just need to make it count.
