February 19, 2022 at 9:43 am #232217From the depths of despair a chink of light emerges, plenty of pitfalls still await but well done guys 👏👏👏
February 19, 2022 at 9:50 am #232219Does it say how much they had to raise?
Will we be able to raise £11 let alone £11 million?February 19, 2022 at 10:08 am #232220What you trying to say Alcy, have you no faith in scunny fans. Ps they did receive £1 million pound grant from the government leveling up fund, also help from the local council, sure our local council would help out if needs must, after all they’ve always been fully supported of their local team.
February 19, 2022 at 10:10 am #232221Like I have said before their going to have a great time and journey, not the one they wanted but at least they have a club again. Wonder how long before we play them again?.
February 19, 2022 at 10:39 am #232223Very well done Bury AFC and the Shakers. It sounds as if the Government, Council, Fans and their local community have all pulled together in the right direction and will once again have a club to support and be proud of. C’mon SWANN give us our land and stadium back and clear off!

Who has transferred ownership of our stadium and assets to their own family company. sWANN. C”mon SWANN now is the time to give us our stadium and assets back and leave.

February 19, 2022 at 2:41 pm #232234Probably all our chairman have left a debt Wharton certainly did,but that’s what most clubs do, we’re not special in that way, but you just expect Swann to walk away, why? I am sure non of us would, what big thing have you given away?.
February 19, 2022 at 3:00 pm #232236Debt profile:
Wharton’s hobby £2m
Swann’s Business £11mAs you say running a club at this level is always going to give you a debit in the bank (unless you can develop players and sell for tidy profit). I doubt Swann could walk away without folding the club but he appears to have lost interest so what next?
February 19, 2022 at 5:08 pm #232241Funny though, do you recall all those fans six, seven, eight and nine years ago who were on here screaming the magic catchphrase “Not spending enough. The club has no ambition! Pay peanuts you get monkeys etc, etc.”
Well …
May I declare myself as always having been an admirer of Mr Wharton.

Because one of his statements said he’d leave our club better off when he went?
Well it looks like he’s had enough: putting no money in, not paying off the loan to let us sign anyone worthwhile, not attending matches any more, etc etc.
