Tomorrows starting line up should be pretty much what Jimmy sees as his likely starting 11 at Tamworth you’d think. (Roberts excepted)
The new guys have impressed so if Jimmy goes 4-3-3 which looks to be his preferred system (for now) how about:-
    Fitzsimons
    Ogle Kouogun Evans Kelly
Clunan Scales Beestin (I rate Butterfield more than JD does I think)
    Elliott Whitehall Wilson

What’s the obsession in putting Elliott as a winger?

    Agreed.

Denton or Law would be better in a 4-3-3

I’d be shocked if Elliot played out wide this year. If we are going with a variation of 4-5-1 Elliot and and Whitehall should be interchangeable.

    Fitzsimmon

    Ogle kouogun evans Kelly

    Clunan Shrimpton

    Laws. Scales. Wilson

    Whitehall/Elliot.

Without Roberts that would be my starting team Cliff. Whitehall for 60 and Elliott for 30 when his extra pace and movement will be most useful.

If no injuries Denton for Kelly and Beeston for Shrimpton or Scales last 20 to keep the energy up.

I don’t have “wingers” in a 4-3-3 but I suppose others see it differently. As on another thread, my preference is a 4-4-2 with wingers but that’s for me not Jimmy it seems.

I will wait to see it in the flesh but from a small image on Twitter it looks sh1te to me.

Although as someone on there said “They can play in bin bags so long as they win a few games”.

The kit looks better in the flesh and we have 100% record wearing it.

    It’s growing on me.

Good team and individual performances today by the way. Not being embarrassed by your team is growing on me too.

    This manager seems amazing.
When did we last see: intelligence; solid tackling; great blocks; players working for each other; terrific movement both on and off the ball?
My dear friends, when we consider the skills on show, I do declare – we have a football team!

They looked like they were wearing white girlie crop tops from a distance, very entertaining game played really well at times, good performances from most, Wilson Clunan and Beestin played really well, great cameo from Whitehall, ref shite and as for the linesman in front of the mortz stand he never saw a thing 2 players fighting less than 10 yds away and couldn’t help the ref so the ref just booked them both, surely one if not both should have been sent off hope someone else can comment who had a clear view I was watching downfield where the play was, It’s nice going to games and enjoying it again I must say.

Blooming heck i wasnt far off on the starting line up n nailed the score .. att let me down…however i shall be buying a lotto ticket today.

Seems like an excellent overall team performance that bodes well for the coming season .. we will obviously know more when the “not friendly’ season starts proper at Tamworth next Saturday.

Hopefully no injuries ??? or tennis balls.

This fella seems very impressed and i lost count of the superlatives he used

like Nortumbiron said would look better with black shorts, hopefully we will see a big improvement than the last few seasons and if other teams look as solid as us it could be a interesting season

I dislike the kit we played in yesterday. Splendid winning goal. Referee missed lots of stuff, hope that is not a sign of things to come ??
