No massive loss in himself but concerning we look to be replacing him with a teenager from a youth team.

It was no good making stay then lose him on a free in may at least we have got some money for him, and like you say no big loss the way he was playing.
We can say very good player on his day but that day was getting rarer and rarer, you could see on Saturday he was just trying to stay injury free ready for today.

Announced now, well done for keeping us up last year with your goals, though they were very few and far between without them we would have been relegated.

Loft versus Barton could be interesting. Will Joey take on anybody that big?

That’s why he left! He realised Keith Hill would take no shit off him, But as you say Joey Barton will be no push over.

Good riddance, not somebody I would want to be relying on to dig us out our current mess based on this years input (Oldham aside). Was good last year but different player this year, culminating in another non existent showing on Saturday before being deservedly hauled off.

I fancy Joey Barton would be match for Loft anyda Cass, it just depends if Loft was having one of his off days, or was willing to take on a fight, off days being a lot more abundent then his fighting days.

That’s another 50k off the 11 million debt the incompetent one ran up I guess.

The £11 million was written off, but £50,000 will help knock some off our our current debt.

Loft- at the moment- is an 8 goal a year striker. Apart from a superb second half performance against Oldham he has contributed precious little this year. In addition His link up play and control for a big lad is abysmal. It’s a shame he didn’t offer more because he has all the attributes to be a good lower league striker.

Saying that, it all depends on who replaces him. A young lad from an u23 team probably isn’t going to cut it in a league 2 relegation dogfight.

But to replace a 6 foot 3 inch striker with league experience with a smaller striker with no experience to me feels like PS has thrown the towel in and accepts we are probably going down and trying to get the wage bill down even further, I hope I am proved totally wrong.

If Swann was there on Saturday he will know that whoever replaces Loft can’t possibly do any worse, at least the young lad will be trying.
I’m amazed to learn that Barton was there on Saturday and still signed him, unless Barton & Weaver tossed a coin and the loser had to sign Loft.

Looks like Jarvis plus the new kid then, unless a big rough sod enters the building. No pun intended Awaywego.

The £11 million was written off

Until the land gets redeveloped and sold off for a tidy profit. Debt doesn’t disappear just because it gets moved elsewhere, the club will pay the price eventually.

4 league goals this season, including a penalty and one which was clearly an own goal. Not the most impressive of records is it?

Meanwhile, are we assuming that Hill doesn’t fancy Scrimshaw much?

If Barton was there on Saturday then it’s baffling he still pressed ahead with the deal.

You know it’s written in the stars that will Loft will send us down last game of the season too.

If the Blackburn lad comes in it must be the end for Scrimshaw you’d think. Also be interesting to know our plans for Hackney, Wood & Billson and if Hill thinks Jarvis is a scoring option I’d have serious concerns for the season.

Assuming we keep Hackney & sign this bloke from Blackburn, then we’re going to be close to filling our loan quota aren’t we? Assuming Billson stays as back-up to Watson and Scrimshaw as a bench option.

At least Lofty won’t have to have had his vaccinations at Bristol Rovers…

Just hope when the home fixture is rearranged and played our supporters are singing Lofty Lofty what’s the score. No great loss in my opinion Jarvis probably not as talented but he offers more in effort.

The problem could be that if we end up with Jarvis, Scrimshaw, Green and Pugh in the same team (40% of the outfield players) we’ll have loads of running about (effort) with very little end product.

It shows how far we have fallen if we’re concerned about the lack of end product and quality because Loft has gone. He’s at best an average league two player and not a prolific goalscorer.
