Former @SUFCOfficial manager Brian Laws has told @itvcalendar that seeing the club relegated to the National League for the first time in 72 years is "heartbreaking" and called for a change in ownership to take the club forward @ironbru_net @mgell1s pic.twitter.com/xbKx65Y7z2

Maybe sacking Laws was Swanns first mistake.
It wouldn’t suprise me if some Wharton money is involved in the takeover and “Laws is coming home”.
Why would we want nearly 400 home league goals in ten seasons again? We are trying to play the proper way (like Man.City) ,all teams are copying this style and is a joy to watch.
Brian Laws style of play won’t work ,getting the ball in the box at every opportunity- who wants to watch that style of football?- (now we’ve been shown how proper football should be played.)
I doubt very much he’ll be coming back as manager!
Director of football?
Although that’s a role not really needed in non league football.

Ask the fans of Lincoln (who eventually got out), Grimsby, Notts County, Stockport, Chesterfield, York etc etc, what style of play works. The teams that get promoted from the National League either have a league 1 quality/cost team or play a very direct way of football.
….Stockport’s direct style of football was too much for Bolton Wanderers in the Cup ,if anyone saw it. The style of controlled football mixed with a determination of getting the ball in the box at the earliest opportunity was a style that reminded me of “Brian Laws teams”. Maybe you’re confusing “direct football” with “headless chicken football”.
would love to hear another podcast with Brian about his comments.
