What the chances of the match being played?
February 8, 2021 at 10:11 am #202323Zero chance if they were playing on our village rec!
February 8, 2021 at 10:16 am #202324If you were planning to make a pitch unplayable then waterlogging it, dropping the temperature to freezing for days on end and putting a covering of snow over the top would be a good way to go.
February 8, 2021 at 11:06 am #202325I’m not worrying about this.
All my waking hours are concerned with our fishy friends facing relegation.
It’s a long time since anything was causing me as much deep anguish.February 8, 2021 at 11:22 am #202326There is no chance of it going ahead. It won’t get above freezing prior to kick off. Its always that railway end which suffers and cannot see the ref passing it. Get Jem and KVV back in time for Saturday
February 8, 2021 at 5:20 pm #202340Tough one, snowed pretty heavily all day and looks set to continue over night and into tomorrow.
You’d like to think the club were prepared for this. Shame they probably can’t get volunteers down to help.
KVV will be in the squad if the games on, was set to be in the squad for Oldham on Saturday.
February 9, 2021 at 1:36 pm #202361Club say the ground is soft underneath the covers and snow. Just need to remove the snow and they’re confident it’ll be game on.
February 9, 2021 at 1:40 pm #202362Shit!
February 9, 2021 at 3:35 pm #202365Baring a late snow storm the game will be played.
February 9, 2021 at 6:08 pm #202378Amazed the game is on.
Happy with the starting 11.February 9, 2021 at 6:13 pm #202380Well we all got that wrong,no more weather forecasting from me. Let’s hope Kev only comes on for a run out and not to save the game.
February 9, 2021 at 6:20 pm #202381Much as I like Brown I’m struggling to see how he is getting in ahead of O’Malley.
The ethos of the club is now supposed to be the development of young players and O’Malley is the best we have.
He was being “rested” last time he was dropped. We’ve not played for 11 days.
Strange.
February 9, 2021 at 7:28 pm #202386Orange lines, orange ball?
February 9, 2021 at 7:32 pm #202387Doubt this will go on much longer.
February 9, 2021 at 7:35 pm #202388Makes more sense to call it off now than in another 20 mins when someone might have a lead.
Looked playable at the start but way it keeps coming down looks unlikely to finish.
February 9, 2021 at 7:44 pm #202390Why no orange ball? Why did Bradford turn up in bloody white kits!?
February 9, 2021 at 7:50 pm #202392“Orange lines, orange ball?”
Orange bibs?
February 9, 2021 at 7:59 pm #202394Can’t people see – its been abandoned to protect the safety of the players.Thirty years ago with coloured lines and an orange ball they would have played on.It was difficult to watch because of the snow.

February 9, 2021 at 8:16 pm #202396They did right to call the game off when they did, it was very difficult to see the play with the white ball, white snow, and Bradford playing in a white strip.
Not much chance of conditions getting any better.
February 9, 2021 at 8:17 pm #202397I feel a Fansy/Alcy style “told you so” coming on!
Should never have gone ahead. Bradford must be well pissed off having traveled when they didn’t need to. Any groundsman worth his salt would have realised that as soon as the covers came off and it got dark the pitch would start to freeze up, snow storm or no snow storm.
My Bantam mate just texted me to they should get all three points as a default because of our poor pitch management!
The good news is no additional injuries, which was more than likely. The bad news is Bolton are winning!
February 9, 2021 at 8:19 pm #202398Not sure what he’s basing that on? Don’t see what more we could have done?
We got the pitch into a perfectly playable state and then the snow started again heavily. Is that “poor pitch management”?
February 9, 2021 at 8:23 pm #202400Don’t mention orange ball and orange lines, or were they blue lines🤔 back in the 70’s we played Rochdale at the OSG and lost 4-0. They had four shots and scored four goals, we just slid around on our arses for 90 minutes. No more of that orange ball milarky thank you very much.
February 9, 2021 at 8:23 pm #202401Could try and play tomorrow – no snow forecasted.
February 9, 2021 at 8:27 pm #202402A most enjoyable game ironawe, we were the better team weren’t we?

He was on a wind-up.
I’d have done the same!
He also said the white strip was their camouflage kit!
February 9, 2021 at 8:35 pm #202406We were better at falling over!!! Long time ago to remember all the details but the result was a nightmare in dreadful conditions but as my mate said as we left the ground ” it was the same conditions for both teams “. Can’t argue with that point TBF.
February 9, 2021 at 8:57 pm #202408Cods were having a few laughs at our expense over tonight’s abandonment, usual stuff all blah blah blah, not laughing so much now with Stevenage and Southend both winning away from home, puts them bottom.
February 9, 2021 at 9:13 pm #202410Having started the game and played half an hour, what happens now?
Replay?February 9, 2021 at 9:22 pm #202411Used to get ya money back if called off before half time, doubt it will happen with iPlayer.

Remember that. Was it 77 or 78? What a rubbish game.
