Club survives a pandemic. Team retains its EFL status.
Just like the other 72 EFL clubs have survived Covid.
You’re as bad as Swann. Maybe you are Swann!

Well done Swann and Cox.
Up the Iron!
Complacency again.
May 1, 2021 at 6:13 pm #206058Well as uptheiron69 has just informed us that SUFC are now in league 2 for another season, but I do not think that many will agree that praise has been erned by eather Swann or Cox for us finishing 22nd out of 24 league 2 clubs, and although the lads showed a little more effort than in most games, it was more a case of two very poor teams on the pitch rather than our brilliance, ONE WIN IN OUR LAST EIGHTEEN MATCHES SHOULD SPEAK FOR IYS SELF, without any praise.
HOWARD—4—Another Howard Howler nearly cost us the point today, very licky escape.
O’MALLEY–5—Given a bit of a runabout by their winger, but stuck to his task.
ONARIASE—6—Solid in defence today, but Bradford never put balls into our box.
TAFT—6—Another solid performance.
ROWE—4—Seems to be going backwards and wasted a few bals by his passing.
GREEN—4—Never seems to get involved, just a couple of runs and then nothing.
SPENCE—5—A quiet game today, but did what he could maybe.
KANACAN—6—Played well, but subbed too early.
BEESTIN—5—Not his best game, and missed a sitter with header at open goal.
GILLIEAD—6—Not his best game, but puts in a bit of skill in his game.
KVV—6—Never gave up, but had to gain the ball himself, had open goal if Loft had passed.SUBS–5—Did not improve thinks.
REF—8—Very good ref today, got everything right.
COX—5–Set up the team to play the usua defensive way, but both Bradford and Scunny are poor teams, both had lost their last five matches, but the one point keeps us up in league two, but that miss of Bradfords for four feet late on gave us the luck that we wanted, and probably deserved today/but nothing much to look forwad to next season with this management team and remaining players after Gilliead, KVV and a few other better players of ours leave at the end of the season.

May 1, 2021 at 6:17 pm #206061Swanny said we’d stay up so got one right at last. Onwards and upwards.
More likely onwards and National League.

May 1, 2021 at 6:25 pm #206063Never in doubt . Just need Swann to come on Humberside and tell the fans we have survived the drop due to his astute Chairmanship. . Wouldn’t put it past him.
Simple question iron awe will you be there watching next season if you are allowed because you complain that much
I will
Expexts abuseMay 1, 2021 at 6:42 pm #206066Oh I do like your optimism BS. Would be a good time for you to bow out now.x
May 1, 2021 at 6:42 pm #2060673rd worst professional team in England
1 win in 18
1 point from 18
most losses in basement division
1 game in 4 with one or no shots on target
Consistently worst performances ever seen
Complete assets stripped
Fans as distant from the club now more than ever
half a dozen season tickets sold
Vice like death grip on club by one family with no connections to club or community
No decent strikers left in club
Everybody except extreme lickspittles worried for futurebut hey well done Swann for surviving a pandemic which saw zero league clubs fail – but then why would any club fail because it just affected Swann
The result today felt like getting the all clear from the docs, nothing more.

What I would say is that we should get some cracking odds for reaching playoffs/promotion

Grimsby alienated their owner and look how that ended.
You reap what you sow.
Positivity breeds positivity.
Up the Iron!
Grimsby’s owner got into bed with a convicted fraudster and placed trust in Holloway (who signed dross) who scarpered to avoid being tainted by Fenty. Fenty then had to step down from the council and his position as owner became untenable, especially with bidders waiting. How is that the fans’ fault? Should they have happy clapped someone getting into bed with a crook?

Other than that we’re still in the FL give us something to be positive about so that we can all be as optimistic and happy as you are.

May 1, 2021 at 8:05 pm #206078‘Positivity breeds positivity.’ Any more banalities while you’re around? Here’s a fact for you: some clubs seem to be able to operate well and thrive on a vastly reduced budget. We don’t. Maybe it’s not a lack of positivity that’s the problem but a lack of ability running a football club?

May 1, 2021 at 8:31 pm #206087Tell you what the balls up from Loft. Easy finish really, panicked…completely lost his head, fluffed it and also failed to see an unmarked Van Veen who would have even tapped that home with a broken leg.
That was the most blatant example of us needing strikers next season. Swann, the absolute Buffoon is to blame with signing pissing Turan, Mooney and Jarvis who aren’t worth a 1p coin.

May 1, 2021 at 8:45 pm #206090Stats say next season we’ll be higher up the lge, not many if any have more than 3 seasons in the bottom 5 we certainly haven’t, crazy season all 3 sufc clubs struggled, 2 relegated if wasn’t for the cods could have been all 3, looks like 4 out of 11 relegation places will be teams starting with the letter S. Nothing but optimism from me for next season so long as Swanny doesn’t sack Cox.

reminds me of the song.
There once was an ugly duckling
With feathers all stubby and brown
And the other birds said in so many wordsGet out of town
Get out, get out, get out of town
And he went with a quack and a waddle and a quack
In a flurry of eiderdownThat poor little ugly duckling
Went wandering far and near
But at every place they said to his face
Now get out, get out, get out of here
And he went with a quack and a waddle and a quackAnd a very unhappy tear
All through the wintertime he hid himself away
Ashamed to show his face, afraid of what others might say
All through the winter in his lonely clump of wheat
Till a flock of swans spied him there and very soon agreedYou’re a very fine swan indeed!
A swan? Me a swan? Ah, go on!
And he said yes, you’re a swan
Take a look at yourself in the lake and you’ll see
And he looked, and he saw, and he said
I am a swan! Whee!1 user thanked author for this post.
May 1, 2021 at 9:23 pm #206095What will be negative and pessimistic achieve?
Next season is a whole different ball game.I asked:- “Other than that we’re still in the FL give us something to be positive about so that we can all be as optimistic and happy as you are.”
Deereyme66 asked:- “What will being optimistic achieve? Give me something to be optimistic about and I might be.”
Any chance you have answers or is it time for you to disappear again?

Grow up and support the team you claim to follow.
I’ll say it one more time you reap what you sow. People like you think they’re blameless when in fact they are very much part of the problem.
May 1, 2021 at 10:11 pm #206100Didn’t realise it was Cass that spent 11 million turning us into a pub team.
Thanks for pointing that out. The last 8 years must just have been a bad dream.

May 1, 2021 at 10:31 pm #206103We managed 3 seasons in the Championship under the amateurs that used to run the club.
Makes you proud to be one of the morons.

Please elaborate on how we are ‘very much part of the problem’ UTI99. There’s obviously a problem, you’ve just acknowledged it, but given a large swath of supporters don’t feel connected to the club anymore, in what shape or form are we to blame for the problem?

MK, 3 seasons in the Championship was amazing but they didn’t suddenly get erased from history when we got relegated to league 2. Excluding the Adkins era, I don’t think we’ve had such a sustained period at the top end of League 1 (Division 3). Correct me if I’m wrong but I can’t recall it within the last 40+ years?
May 1, 2021 at 10:37 pm #206106Or, put it another way: if we all just said everything was great all the time or never criticised, would that change anything on or off the pitch?
