Clearly the best result in Tuesdays fixture for the Iron is a draw, but if one side does win – who would you prefer it to be?
Brackley’s run in following this game appears – atleast on paper – to be the easiest of the top 4, BUT following last Tuesday I feel like Kidderminster are the biggest threat to the Iron’s title aspirations. I just feel like they’re the better side and I can’t see them dropping any points from here if they beat Brackley, who of course have a horrific habit of choking down the stretch. Maybe they’re due to get it right this time? Who knows. All in all, I’ve asked the question but I still don’t really know my own opinion either way. Like I said at the start, a draw is the best result for us. After that I suppose we’ll just have to deal with whatever way the cards fall.
March 23, 2025 at 6:11 pm #300296I’m not fussed either way I’m more interested that we just win our last six games and finish the job off in style.
March 23, 2025 at 6:17 pm #300298If not the draw then a Kiddie win for me, they still have Buxton, Curzon and Hereford to play.
Brackleys best run 5 wins on the bounce against Kiddies 4.Can scunny win 7 on the trot.
March 23, 2025 at 7:58 pm #300316I’m with IA on this. Don’t care what others do. If we do our jobs and play with the intensity we saw Saturday it won’t matter.
Time to start (and finish) the away games with more attacking intent than many away games this season.
March 23, 2025 at 8:09 pm #300319Bookies can’t split them. Both 13/8 the win. 21/10 the draw.
March 23, 2025 at 8:15 pm #300320Looks a draw to me?
March 23, 2025 at 11:15 pm #300328A draw please. 2 points dropped for both.
March 24, 2025 at 2:10 am #300336a draw would be marvelous .. as well as sendings off for both
Kiddy free scoring recently means their goal difference is now close to ours which may come into play later
March 24, 2025 at 8:42 am #300355Should be an open game as both teams really need a win to try and catch us. There will be a commentary somewhere to listen via either club or non league sport commentaries online. We need to just be professional and finish the job off now starting against ‘The Port’. I still can’t believe I walked away from Haig Avenue after witnessing a defeat.
March 24, 2025 at 8:51 am #300361A boring 0-0.
Both teams knowing they can’t lose it, yet not doing enough to win it.March 24, 2025 at 8:58 am #300363a draw would be marvelous .. as well as sendings off for both

Goal difference is now level, they’ve scored four goals more though so for now they hold that particular tie breaker.

March 24, 2025 at 9:27 am #300370For me, these are our 2 main rivals, and should either lose on Tuesday evening, they will effectively be out of the race as it is unlikely that both ourselves and the winner of the game will both slip up in the remaining 6 games. That said, I agree with all the contributors so far that we need to play with the same commitment and skill as we did against Chester on Saturday. Spennymoor, Kings Lynn and Hereford are all challenging for play off spots and will be hard to beat and will require our A game to deliver the win
March 24, 2025 at 9:48 am #300375Look lads we’ve played well in the one game let’s not get carried away, remind me what did we play like at kiddie.
Disappointed in you there MK you should know better.

I’m not keen on the talk from some quarters (some on here, others on the socials) of it being pretty much done after Saturday.
Fact is, it’s far from done, Iron have six cup finals to play and as things currently stand they could need 6 wins.
I know I’ll feel a whole lot better if this fixture is drawn and it gives us the cushion of being allowed one slip up.

March 24, 2025 at 3:13 pm #300482This’ll do me!
I’d like the 4 point lead going in to the last match.

March 25, 2025 at 9:48 pm #300644That’s two weeks running that Kidderminster have won 1-0 despite not deserving to. More so tonight, Brackley battered them for 86 minutes. It’s very worrying, because Kidderminster are looking very ominous. What’s more, it seems the officials are doing everything they can to help them. The number of soft free kicks they were given tonight, whilst Brackley had a stonewall penalty turned down at the other end was staggering. To make matters worse, the culprit of the deliberate handball feigned a head injury and the referee blew his whistle just as Brackley were about to launch a cross into the box.
Iron are going to have to do it the hard way.

March 25, 2025 at 11:26 pm #300648Obviously the best result for us would have been a draw. While this result does mean Kiddy have a better goal difference and goals for, we have a 2 point gap. We just have to win on Saturday, and win well. Let’s focus on one game at a time. Will Whitehall be back for the weekend?

I’m starting to get the feeling he won’t be back at all.

I thought it a tad strange when he stepped in for Torps at Kiddy as the ‘expert summariser’… not the sort of thing a manager normally permits – unless his season has actually finished?
March 26, 2025 at 8:53 am #300669Money saver? No need to pay Torps when Whitehall already being paid.
