Bit of a leap Anderson. From speculating it’s Hooper to him signing and scoring on his second debut.

Not sure they would have been able to keep news of Hooper training with us quiet. Might be a virtual unknown who morphs into a top goalscorer a bit like Gary himself did.

This won’t be popular but I think we will be well beaten, I can’t see this formation working at all and the lack of wingers in the squad is a concern.
Hoping I’m wrong but I’ll go 3 vs 1 and a massive bounce back at home against Marine needed.

IMO a more balanced view than that of fans on the SUFC Fand FB page and just goes to show how differently we perceive the current squad and how pre season has gone.

We finished ahead of brackley last season with a manager for the most part who didn’t have a clue and a team that weren’t really fit enough.

Surely a prediction is based on the thoughts of the individual concerned on how they see things happening negative or positive so what just because we are all Scunny fans should we say the Iron will win 5-0 every week. Without a ball being kicked in anger first game , new team , new manager new system of play away at arguably one of the best sides in the NLN henceforth its a difficult one to call so fully understand the various differing views.

Come September predicting scores should become easier.

Fingers crossed for an away win , tho happy with a draw .. sticking with my 1-1

We have a manager who’s unproven and has never managed a men’s team and we are playing a formation that I’ve not seen work at GP for over a decade (if that) and one that really doesn’t fit the players we have.
Predicting a loss doesn’t make you less of an iron fan.
2-0 Brackley. Hoping I’m wrong and would be happy with a draw away against tough opposition.

No one has said predicting a defeat makes you less of an Iron fan. Finding the negativity ‘staggering’ doesn’t imply that.

If you didn’t know we’ve got 4 owners now to blame 64, and there’s Turnbull as well, not gonna put it on Butler I think he’s being given the players rather than him picked them himself, but we’ll see how he sets the team up, playoff position after 8 games minimum and looking like we could win the league.
The only criticism of Michelle in team matters from me was not sacking Dean after the Darlo game.

Nothing in any Butler interview to suggest the signings were anything but his choice as far as I remember.

Other than the first signing didn’t get on the photos that was left to Turnbull and Michelle, in fishburns interview he implied that he hadn’t even spoken to Butler before signing and that concerns me.

This one is difficult to call; Brackley did well last season however, it’s not too uncommon to see play-off losers struggle the next season and both teams lost in the play-offs.

I have a feeling that it may be the Butler fitness that gets us a win today and I’m going to a 1-0 to the Iron.

That’s class 64 from someone who rarely praises the team performance, I’ll say yet again i get behind the team at the start of every game i go to and want them to win every game, every games a new start for everyone
and don’t have a favorite player to pick on unlike you.

I Would have been happy if Jimmy was still here that would have meant we’d got promotion would you lol.
