What’s the title of the OP?
March 13, 2021 at 1:58 pm #203463But he’s never been more on topic with the title of the thread. We’ve really missed the non attending non watching expert lecturing those that do bother to go or watch.
March 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm #203466If Carlsberg did condescending arrogance they would call it Bucksiron.
March 13, 2021 at 3:08 pm #203473Come on guys you know it’s his natural role in such matters, as Troy McClure from the Simpsons famously said ” Its the role I was born to play baby “.
March 13, 2021 at 4:17 pm #203483The point is that gates are going to be significantly higher challenging for promotion from L1 than from L2.
Even though I’ve just proven that this wasn’t the case in the last few examples?
March 13, 2021 at 6:29 pm #203485I must have missed something, Ferrite, which of course is entirely possible, because the numbers you provided show a 10% increase in L1 vs the last promotion.
Otherwise the comments from the usual suspects are the usual attacks. Yawn.
March 13, 2021 at 8:23 pm #203490Whereas we’ve never read your “what about Wharton” post about a hundred times before. Watch some of the matches before you pass comment on other supporters opinions!!

Yep, 10%, which isn’t much really, when you consider that a large part of that increase will have been down to bigger away followings.

The sooner this season is over the better. Well done to Cox & the players for keeping us up, not much more we can say.

March 20, 2021 at 5:23 pm #203690That was a really tough watch today
March 20, 2021 at 5:39 pm #203694So…damn…boring!
March 20, 2021 at 5:42 pm #203697Some people will find anything to moan and groan about. Only joking 😜
March 20, 2021 at 7:22 pm #203708Well, I rather like kick n rush football.
Today was truly joyful for me.March 20, 2021 at 9:19 pm #203713Well done to Cox & the players for keeping us up, not much more we can say.
Rather you’d not posted this for another month at least Ferrite.
Still mathematically possible to go down.
March 21, 2021 at 10:29 am #203726But not if we keep taking a point at home from teams as good as Southend surely?
March 22, 2021 at 10:59 am #203744Still mathematically possible to go down.
10-11 games to go, 11 points clear of the drop, 5 teams would have to come past us. Not going to happen.
March 22, 2021 at 2:56 pm #203748Between now and the end of the season we will likely lose more matches than we win, but I have to agree with Ferrite. Whilst it is mathematically possible for us to be relegated I feel the points gap, and goal difference between us and the relegation slots is too wide. With only 11 matches left, the season for us is about played out.
My fear is for next season. This squad has struggled in what appears to be a poor division. We are likely to see some departures come the end of the season, and our ‘transfer committee’ doesn’t have a good track record of building cohesive squads. When you add to the mix that the chairman isn’t likely to be providing much in the way of funding, the 2021/22 season could be every bit as bleak as this one!
March 22, 2021 at 4:25 pm #203750I think we should all be grateful that it appears we will still have a viable football club running next season after the last twelve months, boring or not. I say ” appears ” because nothing in football and finance is absolutely certain.
March 22, 2021 at 4:34 pm #203751To be honest, I am hugely surprised by the lack of clubs going into administration during the pandemic. There’s not a single football club that hasn’t taken a financial hit, and when it comes to finances, the lower leagues club have far less margin for error!
