If these allegations are not enough for all Iron fans to question his suitability as a football club owner, then I don’t what is. As for those blaming fans that have raised the same concerns as the allegations, they should have a good think about their moral and ethical principles

Feels like we are at a crossroads now.

A Jason Herbert Facebook post isn’t going to reassure many supporters who will now be worried.

A statement from the club offering clarity and strategy is needed.

apparently it’s a bit iffy that a reporter writing and researching an article was in court

Some really staggering responses on the Facebook group, even by their standards. Don’t think they’re quite grasping the seriousness of it; or don’t care.

People who hate a multimillionaire of good character say he should never have passed the fit and proper persons test are now saying?
Let’s face it,the internet and football has lost it’s mind ,if he’s your man it doesn’t matter

If we don’t get behind him we want the club dead being used again, by the same people who would say these accusations are rumours made by those who want the club dead. When called out, after accusing others of all and sundry, they will moan about lack of unity and toxicity from those they berate.

He’s admitted to not being truthful about his time in prison and I’m sure he now regrets his statements he has made in the past but either way and whatever your viewpoint we need our club to move forward and I don’t think he will be staying for long from his tone in the interview, hope I’m wrong but I think he’s going.

When he filled in the “fit & proper” forms, did he admit to having gone to prison under the name Anderson?

Based on how he has performed to date, I rather think he didn’t. The FA should be investigating this to ensure that they are in the clear.

Yes sadly i think you could be correct IA … and if that does happen the real possibility of a town without a football club.. it seems a few on Bru wont be too bothered so long as DH is hounded out.

The statement makes for an uncomfortable listen. Whilst I feel for him and his mental health challenges that he discussed on the statement, I feel that he did not fully addressed the issues raised by the Athletic.

David Hilton-White-Adnderson-Mellors didn’t address the multiple linked identities, the compulsory company winding up order, or the issue raised about the lack of transparancy around his current finances and where his funds are coming from. I fear this story is far from over, and if I am honest, I wouldn’t be surprised to see David Hilton-White-Adnderson-Mellor walk away from the club very soon.

If Hilton goes, he will have himself to blame for the destruction of the football club for lying and giving everyone false hope. It’s his fault, not sceptical fans or even fans who dislike him (or have an agenda) for his lack of honesty putting our club at risk.

Oh, and I haven’t forgotten. He shares that responsibility with Swann, who brought us to this low and whose laziness and incompetence just handed over the club to dodgy Dave without a care what happens, until dodgy Dave started hindering his finances.

He didn’t disclose his jail sentence ( did he have to?)
Besides that,Siderite, you use the words, lying, lack of honesty. I haven’t a clue, can you help me,taking away he had nothing to hide( he had served his term ) what other evidence do you have to use the words lying and lack of honesty?

The Destruction of SUFC was happening a long time ago not just since January I would say. We don’t deserve to be told porkies but it’s nothing new. Seems some are really gleefully stating I told you so etc. But some of us just want to go see our team on a Saturday and enjoy that part of life.

    Read my second paragraph.

To be honest, I haven’t seen many I told you so comments on here; it’s mostly anger at Hilton.

Just one of our ex resident racists on the Facebook page berating me ,what an odd man ,conning a council out of £68k = fine, according to the sort of people who love to spend time complaining about funding immigrants and “doleys”.

One person is responsible for our predicament. At the moment the end game has been stalled.

Is there any significance of the timing of the Asset of community value issue that the Iron trust reported.

It coincides, roughly, with when Swann v Hilton decision will be made.

Swann, assuming he wins, will sell the stadium.
