It is quite a staff but if the first four names at the top of the list are all removed and gone by next season, hopefully we will have more of a chance of paying such a number of staff. Fingers crossed.

Well isn’t one/ possibly two current directors still getting paid a hefty wad every year? Someone raised this point in a previous post but I don’t know if the club has responded to the question somebody else asked.

    Not for a professional club.

The academy roles are funded by EFL at the moment. I think this will end this summer though.

The people left at our shell of a club are all doing the roles of many people and I dont think we can cut much further given our expectations from the club.

Definitely not sustainable at Conference North level. Go back a few decades the club had Manager, assistant manager possibly a coach, physio and Youth team manager. I know Sports science has moved on immeasurably in modern day football but you have to cut your cloth accordingly.

Much of it depends on gates I assume? The clubs you mentioned SOS haven’t got a similar sized stadium, set up and gates to us. Oldham and Southend have similar sized staffing to us. I think a better comparison would be clubs with a similar average attendance and facilities. I would say Macc (level 8?) but I think they average around 4k don’t they? I know they boast of having a league 2 / National standard squad.

    Football staff needed:
    1st Team Manager
    Asst Manager
    Keeper Coach
    Physio
    U18 Manager
    U18 Asst Manager
    U18 Physio

You don’t need SS at NLN level, just big, fit, strong lads who can half play.

Just to clarify, my post was referring to all club staff not just on field and back room support staff

Since Swann’s been here we’ve always carried a huge roster of staff. That fact had been brought up on here many times by various posters. Many lower league clubs are more prudent who have a set number of staff who simply do more than one particular job.

At GP we’ve always had people appointed in every single little job. I remember at one time when Swannster had staff in when he was hell bent on getting that upper tier youth grading, we had an absolute shit load of staff appointed.
