Flabbergasted by the report linking him to a host of league one clubs.

During his ten game or so stint during the last couple of months I’ve been quietly impressed with his development; however I’d have thought him lucky to be offered a new deal by us- and that as only a back up to Taft/Onarisie.

This is puzzling for somebody, like myself, with minimal experience in the world of big business.
1. Four L1 clubs are interested in Bedeau (allegedly)
2. He is OOC in the summer and can leave for nothing
3. It is reported (see article) that we “can’t afford” to take up a 1 year contract extension.
Now this is what I don’t understand – if we took up the option we could then demand a fee for his transfer which would suggest we can’t afford not to take up the option. Unless, of course, these clubs are only interested in him if he’s on a free or (surely not) the report was generated by his agent to try and get the 1 year extension because he can’t find another club for his client.

This is definitely his agent talking who has probably contacted those clubs promoting his player. Bedeua is one of worse defenders ever to have had the privilege of wearing an Iron shirt. He would be one of first on my list to be released, total dross.

He’s a weird one is Bedeau: he looks a decent player, right up until the moment when he makes a ridiculous mistake. I think everyone would benefit for a new start for him.

If Bedeau went on a free because we couldn’t afford his wages it’s about time they got rid of the u23s, because it’s becoming a expensive failure.
