Wondergoal has always just made crap up.It’s how he makes sense of himself,he never let’s the truth get in the way of anything
That’s rich coming from you. Anyway, back on topic. I know there was nothing official stating the length of his contract, but I’m sure I read at the time on twitter that he came on a 2yr contract.
Why would he uproot himself and we pay a fee for somebody who will only be here for just the 1 season ?
Just saying 414,he makes stuff up.He admits it here
January 13, 2025 at 6:11 pm #297098It’s not them Sidey. Been keeping a low profile.
January 13, 2025 at 6:14 pm #297099I was referring to the person iron414 said was ‘done over’ (according to 64) when the new owners took over from Hilton.

Pardon? I’m certain I’ve never said such. Show me where?
I don’t think you need to be some sort of expert to know that coaching can help players. Even if they are 31.
Coaching perhaps, Butler’s coaching probably not. Which of our players have improved under his ‘coaching’? None, they are all individually equal or worse than previous seasons and the team as a whole is markedly worse. The only ones that could be argued as improved are Fitz, who’s coached by Muzzy or Cal Robert’s, who, it’s fairly obvious, has always had stacks of ability but has been hampered by injuries.
In any case I think Rene’s sentiment is that Beck was not brought in at 31 as a development player. If we wanted a player who needed coaching in order to contribute with goals I’m sure we could have got one for free. Alas we’ve paid for ‘ready to go’ now we’re been told by the oracle of wisdom supermod, that he needs to coached first. Hopefully Michelle paid on her credit card and we can get a refund under section 75 ‘misrepresentation of goods’

January 13, 2025 at 7:07 pm #297102Do you realise how utterly dull and tedious this ‘supermod’ nonsense is 414? Absolutely full of exaggeration and self righteousness. Looking in a few times a day and posting comments, whether I agree with others or not is not ‘arguing on here all day’. Neither am I on here ’24/7′. You’re a fantasist. I’m not paying rent btw so forget that.
You also twist the truth like a number of naysayers on here. Even in your latest post you’re making out I think Beck needs to be coached because he’s underdeveloped. As if I’m saying that. You’re just a Wind Up Merchant tbh. There’s a few of you on here. Easily identifiable.

Ask 64 that. He was the one who made that claim.
January 13, 2025 at 7:21 pm #297106‘players can benefit from mental coaching’
‘frequent pops at our own striker’
Remind me who our Sports Psychologist is… he/she ain’t listed on the staff list.
If memory serves, we didn’t even have anyone in that role whilst we were in the Championship?
Ok, you/we could bring an outside person in to work with the players or send them off site to the psychologist. However, those guys don’t come cheap.
To keep costs down, If you identify specific individuals whom need ‘mental help’ then that may affect their confidence even further and isolate them from the other players.
We’ve struggled this season to relay/reseed the pitch, let alone rewire someone’s brain!
‘Striker’ – more non striker at the moment.
I said right from the day his signing was announced that he wasn’t for me – nothings changed.

January 13, 2025 at 7:29 pm #297107You could have saved all that text. There’s a coaching team already at the club. Are you trying to tell me they don’t consider this aspect of coaching as part of their remit?
Yes, you did say that right at the beginning. And like a number of posters on here, you thrive on your negativity being right and can’t wait to remind us.
January 13, 2025 at 7:31 pm #297108What psychology qualifications do they have?
How long have they been practicing?January 13, 2025 at 7:40 pm #297110What?? Where have I intimated they need to be qualified and practising psychologists?
January 13, 2025 at 7:54 pm #297113Remind me who our Sports Psychologist is… he/she ain’t listed on the staff list.
It’s Supermod, he’s doing it pro-bono so you won’t find him on the payroll.
He bigs up the players and staff on here whilst simultaneously shooting down anyone who raises any questions over their abilities, in the hope they log on to read it and pump up their confidence.
He’s a bloody genius! Let’s get him nominated for the next Nobel Prize award.

January 13, 2025 at 7:56 pm #297114Regards to Beck – let’s see how many he ends the season on.
21 games remaining.

Turned out Butler did state his contract length, but it turned out to be 18 months and not the 2 years as first thought. Butler did talk about his contact though during an interview on Sports talk.
I told you he was here for longer than just the one season. Putting that to one side, it’s an absolutely terrible signing.

January 13, 2025 at 8:52 pm #297126So is your boy at the moment, ya know the one after the first game you could see taking the place of Whitehall.
January 14, 2025 at 5:44 am #297136I’m not taking the piss here… how about sending him out on loan?
A short spell elsewhere, where the pressure isn’t so focused on him, might see him bang 4 or 5 goals in and set him up for a quick return full of confidence?

January 14, 2025 at 9:39 am #297144If a player goes out on loan I would say the fans of the club he is on loan too will exert their own pressure, if he’s not hitting the ground running within two games he will be toast with some of them.

Are we laying bets? My guess is 2.
January 17, 2025 at 1:12 pm #297252Beck and Fishburn offered to Gainsborough and they chose Fishburn says it all lol.
January 17, 2025 at 1:17 pm #297254I wasn’t a big fan of Danny Elliot, thought he spent too much time running anywhere but towards goal.
He could however score goals, so what were his wages compared to Botty Beck.
The real value is in how much we are/were paying per goal and on that issue Botty is a financial nightmare.

I assume that’s a fact awaywego: that Beck was offered to Gainsborough?

January 18, 2025 at 5:14 pm #297335Barndoor banjo
I prefer the cows arse with a banjo analogy, he hit the bar though, does that mean he’s getting nearer or he should have scored?

January 18, 2025 at 5:19 pm #297336He’s up there with one of the worst signings for the club. Unless he is given penalty duties (and even then it’s not guaranteed) I cannot see him scoring a goal for us.
January 18, 2025 at 5:26 pm #297338Was his contract just till the end of the season? Hope so
January 18, 2025 at 5:44 pm #297343Was his contract just till the end of the season? Hope so
18 months apparently so we have got him next season too.

January 18, 2025 at 9:06 pm #297352Deffo should have scored but so should Carlton from the same attack.
January 18, 2025 at 9:13 pm #297354Could he be loaned to Keadby Town Dribblers reserves on an 18 month loan with no recall option in the deal?
