Howard: 6 For an experienced keeper he makes me nervous , doesn’t command his area, punches rather than catching and leaves me on edge… NOT what I wanted from an experienced GK!!!
Clarke: 5 Shocking display apart from the goal
Onariase: 6 looked average without Harrison by his side
    Bedeau: 4 Not good enough!!!
Hippolyte: 5 Mixed bag, going forward ok however the link up with Eisa was poor
Gillead: 4 POOR!!! We offered nothing down the right hand side and I felt this was one of his worst Iron performances.
Beestin: 6 O.K but too negative with his passing range
Spence: 6 Average game, didn’t notice him much
Eisa: 6 Great goal and cross for the winner but his delivery from corners is absolute SHITE!! he is a winger who offers a great threat from his long distance shots and at his best he is league 1 quality but his delivery into the box from open play & corners is diabolical at present!!
McAtee: 8 I thought he looked sharp and every bit the player teams higher up the leagues would want! nice touches, close control to be admired and such composure on the ball… the fact he was subbed I find embarrassing !!
    Loft: 2 Absolutely SHITE
COX: 2!! You got out of jail with this one Cox!! Absolutely awful to watch, team selection crap, subs crap, match tempo crap, tactics crap!!
Its a good job they were so bang average!! Sort it out or you’ll be gone!!
Cox doesn’t realise it but the tier 3 status is actually helping him because if fans had been in watching that crap we would have lost and he would have absolutely known how crap it was from the defening Boo’s!!!

Think you’re being a bit generous with your rating for our carthorse number 9!

Well Sharp Shooteer, I must agree with 95% of your asswssments of the players today, it was very very poor indeed. It is a long time since SUFC had a good goalkeeper, and we have had some very poor centre forwards over the past 3 or 4 years, but in 69 years following Scunny, Loft and Turan are the worst we have ever had. We are midway thgough a patch when we are playing probably the worst six teams in the League, we would be in that group ourselves, and results are the three points we collected today being our points total up to now.

I appreciate you doing this thread mate, I had decided that it was not a wisw thing for me to continue with it, after last weeks effort when we got 14 members contributing to it, which included 4 of them being by myself, and two from Northubiron commenting on my spelling and English, leaving 8 from others. This alomng with the topic of “The knee” which should not be on the football section which collected 220 comments, I enjoy this weekly section regarding player ratings, and would appreciate if you continued with it pal, plus you are not affraid to tell it as it is. Cheers for this.

I thought last night, for the first time, that Hippolyte is going to make the grade.
Played in an unnatural position, he made considerably fewer errors than his RB counterpart, put in a shift and there were moments of intelligence and anticipation.
Mistakes? – There were a few but then again, too few to mention.
    A gutsy performance.
Great to have a player who possesses a long throw. 7.

Howard 5 getting more and more rooted to his line – more nervous probably worried about the defence
Clarke 4 – 3 points for the goal otherwise very very poor
Onariase 6 looking leggy and tired, not his fault
Bedeau 5 a bit all over the place, scratchy performance
Hippolyte 5 very poor positional sense when defending, better when being positive- actually tries to beat his man
Gillead 4 not his game tonight, tries hard but no end product
    Spence 5 average game
Beestin 5 again quite average – when tires looks very weak on the ball
Eisa 6 needs to stop taking corners, redeemed himself with the cross for the goal
McAtee 7 star man, got involved a lot more wanted to get on the ball
    Loft 3 poor once again

    Hallam 2 does very little
Jarvis not a footballer, if playing for Sunday league then I’d give him a 3
Cox 3 Still not his fault that we have too many players not suited to professional football but he has to alter his thinking. That game, result aside, was really bad. Couldn’t string 4 passes together, front line garbage and isolated.

We can’t string passes together because as soon as it goes to Loft…who should be our focal point of attacks…it either just bounces off his knee/shin/shoulder and off the pitch or he passes straight to the opposition. He’s a really, really poor footballer!

McAtee stand-out player, no idea why he was taken off and no idea why Loft was left on for 85 minutes.

Gilliead is wasted out wide, he creates very little out there. Would love to see his drive back in the centre of midfield with Beestin alongside him.

Your right BS about the knee, the sooner it is removed from the game the better.

Seems Loft not a crowd pleaser, Thuran absent from the 18.

Would Kyle Wootton have done a better job and was selling him a good decision ?

He wouldn’t have done any worse and would have fitted the bill as part of Swann’s homegrown player project.

Come on BS, keep doing the ratings thread. I thought you missed this match because you left at half-time, given your comments above.

If there’s an open goal would be shame not to take it NI, if only I had said what Bucks and you said about the knee been routine, I would have and most I believe would have supported a one off gesture, in the end things becomes pc and out of hand just like the me too movement, women coming out and saying they had been abused like a badge of honour to become part of the elite, or in crowd.

I agree with some of the sentiment here, particularly Howard who’s so slow off his line on the rare occasions he actually leaves it.
I think our biggest problem is the lack of squad depth because the likes of Loft, Gillead and Onarise looked out on their feet.
There’s some short memories here too because during our run, Loft was outstanding and put some hard shifts in, but there’s literally no one to replace him. Jarvis? A centre forward whose frightened of heading the ball. No thanks.

There is a player in Loft for me. His touch is poor and he often isn’t in the right place but those are things that can be taught. You can’t teach size, pace or work rate and he has all three.

Can you take your bullshit back to the other thread. Don’t need you spouting bollocks all over the place.

Yes Darryn I will do that for you on this thread, I respect you mainly keep to the football side of things and am sorry for intruding, I should have said the same to BS instead of reacting. There are plenty of other threads for us to talk bollocks.

We already have a “knee” thread and you have made your views clear.

You don’t need to bring it up in every other topic thank you!
