Pre match in here please
December 15, 2020 at 10:01 am #199106already excuses because we can’t prepare for what they are going to do and we have that many players with slight injuries plus the major ones of cause, so god knows what sort of line up and formation we will put out tonight, just hope we remember we have a better chance of winning if we attack and have shots at goal rather than sit back and hope for a breakaway.
December 15, 2020 at 11:52 am #199111Depends on how cerebral the plan is !!
December 15, 2020 at 12:04 pm #199112Spence abd Beestin being doubtful is not good. 1 out we’ve got a big problem both and we might as well not bother.
December 15, 2020 at 3:51 pm #199118The comment keeps getting made on this board, but the number of injuries and players unavailable at this club is absolutely incredible. The players are a set of light weights they are so fragile, it never used to be like this, I think there is far too much science and thought involved nowadays.
December 15, 2020 at 4:16 pm #199120They are professional athletes aren’t they?? FGS
December 15, 2020 at 6:09 pm #199129Probably gone with the strongest available side. Presume Hippolyte is going to play left back. His one good game this season was at left back.
December 15, 2020 at 6:21 pm #199130Uh-oh!
Looks like the dreaded wing-backs!
Either that or Hippo at LB?
December 15, 2020 at 6:23 pm #199131Looks like Hippolyte at LB to me. Or maybe I’m just hoping!
If he is playing LB then Rowe would’ve been the more obvious choice.
December 15, 2020 at 6:26 pm #199133Butroid injured or 4th choice LB?
December 15, 2020 at 6:31 pm #199135guess 5 at the back with Clarke 3rd center-half. 0-0 bore draw i fear
Do wish Cox would stop giving players excuses. Fail to see how professional athlete can complain is tired playing twice a week and little training it seems. Yet after each game he tells them they are tired. Why not say they are looking forward to doing what they paid to do. basic management skill. Don’t remember Adkins having tired players!December 15, 2020 at 8:06 pm #199137Here we go again, against a team that is looking for its first win in 12 games, but Barrow are the better team and could easily be in front. Scunny took the lead with a 20 yard Eisa goal, but the lead lasted all of two minutes before a keystone cop type goal made it 1-1, Hippolyte who was running towards his own goal played the ball out for a corner for some unknown reason, the corner came over and after bobbing about in the air was headed in from about five feet off the line, where was the keeper, well as usual in a trance standing on his line as normaL. The Scunny backs are getting torn apart, and Clarke has made at least five glaring errors, and I cannot remember Loft touching the ball in this half, he is absolutely rubbish. So a Cox type half time dressing down should work wonders, well we will see !!!!!!!!
December 15, 2020 at 8:30 pm #199139Absolute bollox of a display from the Iron. Clueless
Can’t believe how backwards we’ve gone.
PS needs to back Cox in January and ship the majority of the bench out on loan as they just aren’t good enough.
December 15, 2020 at 8:55 pm #199140Take the points all day long but how Sunday league esque was that.
December 15, 2020 at 9:09 pm #199142Batter Colchester get zero points. Dire again tonight three points. Funny old game!
90th minute winner for Iron? Makes a refreshing change!
December 15, 2020 at 9:18 pm #199143Good result, frustrating performance.
Need to start improving the quality of balls into the box, must have had 15+ crosses tonight which fell to a barrow player.
Conceding goals at stupid times has to stop too, we have to manage games better around times after we score or close to half/full times.
Nevertheless, fair play to the team for persevering and getting the 3 points- good to see Clarke get on the scoresheet after a fairly ropey performance.
Big result to put some daylight between us and the bottom 2- it’s getting congested down there now. Hopefully we have no more injury worries this week.
December 15, 2020 at 9:26 pm #199144Good result but we really need to start putting teams like this away convincingly.
Awful Sunday league goal conceded and failure to break down a team that’s not trying to score.
We are toothless without Kev. And a shambles at the back without McGahey. Even Onarise looked like he was starting to catch it tonight.
Not sure what was going on with Clarke?December 15, 2020 at 9:40 pm #199146I was thinking why Clarke had not been subbed and then he scores the winner.I am not a Hippolyte fan but I thought he had a decent game tonight. The whole team looked very nervous but improved 2nd half
December 15, 2020 at 9:47 pm #199148A miracle happened today, first injury time winner for 3 years and 5th in 7 1/2 years, up the Iron.
Well done Jordan Clarke.December 15, 2020 at 9:49 pm #199149AnonymousInactiveOffline

Topics: 4Care to work out how many injury time defeats we’ve had in that time period, Mick?
December 15, 2020 at 9:56 pm #199151LBH guys it’s results that count, hold that thought in your heads and after the Cods got GUTTED tonight at Southend, we can take a point on Saturday then look forward to a home win over Mansfield. Wins build confidence which in turn build improved performances. UTI.
December 15, 2020 at 9:59 pm #199152Hullerside 10 mins interview with McCann see where they loyalties lie
December 15, 2020 at 10:21 pm #199154“15+ crosses tonight which fell to a barrow player”.
Lee Hodges on the Southend match was not happy that Loft was nowhere to be seen when crosses were going in the box in the 1st half.
Definitely need to find a striker in January.
December 15, 2020 at 10:25 pm #199155Accrington away 13/14
Rochdale home 16/17
Bristol Rovers home 17/18
Barrow home 20/21Since we beat Swindon at home 3-1 with a 88th minute equaliser and 2 more in injury time.
You tell me anymore, we have had about 6 or 7 equalisers including 2 last season.
December 15, 2020 at 10:27 pm #199156But certainly had a lots of injury time defeats, they say things even themselves out, but not for us.
December 15, 2020 at 10:52 pm #199157Get out of jail free card played tonight, nice to see us score an injury time winner though!
Thought Hippolyte did well at LB and finally started taking players on in the 2nd half. Loft on the other hand…deary deary me, have we had a worse striker in the last decade!? He is absolute garbage! Can’t control a football, can’t pass, won’t pass, nowhere to be seen in the box. Apart from goalkeepers he officially has the worst pass completion % in the entire football league!
December 15, 2020 at 10:59 pm #199158Definitely need a striker in Jan who when the ball goes up to him it sticks and he brings other players in to the game,Chris O’Grady Calvin Andrew type possibly, but we need to keep the ball better and stop giving the bloody ball away, anyway 3 points is 3 points no matter how you get em,on to Blunder park and 3 more hopefully
December 16, 2020 at 10:36 am #199171PS needs to back Cox in January
He didn’t back Hurst last January, so I don’t expect this window to be any different.
December 16, 2020 at 11:20 am #199175No chance of 10 out and 3 in then?
December 16, 2020 at 12:54 pm #199181we’ll be waiting for these exciting players to turn up.
Chief Scout will sort it, as long as its not a school night, bed early
