October 19, 2021 at 6:58 pm #216035Going for a win – must be crackers !!
3 or 5 indicates targeting which usually delivers zero points.
October 19, 2021 at 7:06 pm #216037Thompson straight back in wtf he was absolutely she ite at Harrogate.
October 19, 2021 at 7:23 pm #216039Just got a feeling that we will get something out of this one! Can’t see why, probably just the fact that we have to get a win at some stage!

Speculating O’Malley has broken his leg on Humberside.

October 19, 2021 at 7:39 pm #216044We trained well.
We knew what they would do.
We lacked quality in the final third.
The injuries affected our plans.
We made some bad decisions.
We were unlucky with the penalty/the sending off.
We deserved something from the game.
If we repeat this performance we’ll be OK.
Why do I say this every week.I hope I’m wrong, the humble pie is in the oven.

October 19, 2021 at 7:45 pm #216045He’s already on the radio in advance talking about how we’ve got to match and nullify their 3 in midfield otherwise they will hurt us.
Why don’t we worry about hurting them??

October 19, 2021 at 8:00 pm #216046Thats half the problem, worrying about the opposition too much rather than going for it and making them worry about us.

October 19, 2021 at 9:30 pm #216051At least Cox cant talk his way out of this. All changed on his substitutions and formation change

October 19, 2021 at 9:47 pm #216052Get this man gone Peter for goodness sake. He is embarrassing himself and the club.
Deliberately conceding the ball to a very poor team for 30 minutes of a game. What the feck.

October 19, 2021 at 9:49 pm #216054Another step closer to relegation in what is becoming a disastrous season.
Cox will soon lose any goodwill he has with supporters by staying on; Although that decision should have been out of his hands a few games ago.
Honestly think if he stays on we will finish below 30 points.

October 19, 2021 at 9:52 pm #216055We KNOW, because we KNOW because we’ve seen it all before!
I am displeased!
Was that a new record for defending ultra deep? We surrendered territory as if it didn’t matter.BRILLIANT GK kept us in the game – but would all those saves been needed if we’d not sat back defending around the penalty spot.

October 19, 2021 at 9:58 pm #21605627 points I reckon.
20% possession? That can’t be right surely?
Can’t wait for Peter’s next uplifting sermon.

October 19, 2021 at 10:01 pm #216057It might not have been a defeat tonight but it certainly feel like one. Sorry Neil it’s time to go.

October 19, 2021 at 10:07 pm #216060We controlled the first half and let them pass the ball in their own half and on the halfway line. Hence the huge imbalance in possession first half. I may dare suggest that we controlled the half.
Repeating this tactic in the second would have probably won us the game – but the whole attitude changed. Defend deep! Abject surrender of the ball and position. This game was there to be won and it feels like a defeat.
Fair dos to the defenders – great effort. I was close to giving my first ever 10 to a keeper but finally gave Rory a 9.

October 19, 2021 at 10:07 pm #216061Let’s hang on to what we’ve got
Don’t let go until we’ve got a lot
Got a lot of points between us
Hang on, hang on, hang on to what we’ve got1 user thanked author for this post.
October 19, 2021 at 10:13 pm #216062I don’t think 20% possession is correct NI. We had a lot less than that.
In the first half it didn’t matter because all of their possession was along the back line, into midfield and back again. We were marking players and challenging for the ball. We created chances and they didn’t.
After 55 minutes we put 9 cones around our penalty area, stopped marking and stopped competing for the ball.
Now possession does matter because it is all around our box by players not being challenged.
I feel for the players who worked their asses off but Cox was very lucky to get a point against a very poor team.

October 19, 2021 at 10:16 pm #216063There’s only one way we’re going with Cox and its out the football league. He couldn’t manage a Sunday League side. He takes off Scrimshaw who was playing well, having possession of the ball and causing Barrow problems. He said post match that Loft was feeling ill, so why leave him on and take off Scrimshaw. The man has no idea and it was embarrassing to watch that last 30 minutes but we knew what Cox would do as it is the same every match. We don’t have a win in us with this imbecile in charge. COX AND SWANN need to go after that display, if Cox isn’t sacked.

October 19, 2021 at 10:19 pm #216064Well you bloody clown Cox, if Swann won’t sack you, for Christ sake resign, your fault that we only took 1 point from this game with you getting the team to drop fully into defence on the 55 minute, you have Rory Watson to thank for us not getting thrashed, Scunny made Barrow look like a Premier team, as they passed us to death, when Cox brought Beestin on, all the Barrow danger came from their right wing, Beestin and Thompson were so static as cross after cross came from there.
Todays player ratings:-
WATSON—9—Made some fantastic saves and even stopped a penalty, well done Rory.
TAFT—7—Had a good game and scored a very good goal.
ROWE—5–He is so poor and easily beaten.
ONARIASE–7–Played well, and lasted the 90 mins whilst some floundered.
THOMPSON—5—His winger had a free run many times.
MILLEN—5—Not impressed with him.
PUGH—5—Also had a poor game, andgave away the penalty, room for improvement.
HACKNEY–4—Far from being a league player, a few bad passes, should be on bench.
HIPPOLYTE—5—Very hot and cold, no ball control whatsoever.
LOFT—5—Ran his socks off but his shooting is terrible, worst penalty seen.
SCRIMSHAW–5—Buzzed about a lot, but we had no forward power what so ever.REF—8—Thought he had a good match, and seemed to be in charge of things.
COX—3—Winning 1-0 and holding out ok, then the bloody clueless clown dropped nine men into defence as usual, and Barrow camped in our third of the pitch, and it was just a matter of time, and only Watson saved Cox’s skin from a thrashing that his substitutions and systems deserved, how the hell does he keep his job, and now one win in 26 matches under him and his fellow clowns, Swann wants shagging for his actions of taking our club into non league, and it would take years to get back if they drop down which seems a certainty under this management team.
Although I bought an access to the game on i-follower yesterday and received confirmation and ID # I could not access today and had to pay again, did any others have this problem???

October 19, 2021 at 10:33 pm #216065No copying NI, I said we were heading for 27pts, from what was said on here it will be because of Rory just like I said😁 and he saved a penalty well done Rory.

October 19, 2021 at 10:33 pm #216066Same old desperate interview afterwards… he’s moved on from we’ve got a young squad… which we actually haven’t!!
And he’s moved on to everyone is I’ll … what an absolute disgrace!!
Barrow 80% possession… resign now you incompetent fool.3 users thanked author for this post.
October 19, 2021 at 10:33 pm #216067Does anyone know did swann even bother to turn up tonight to watch that dire display?

October 19, 2021 at 11:09 pm #216072No copying NI, I said we were heading for 27pts,
Ha, ha! I just did a quick ppg tally and rounded it up. Although with one point out of the last 18 I’m probably being generous!
October 19, 2021 at 11:18 pm #216073He’s got to go. Clueless.

October 20, 2021 at 12:40 am #216081As said in this above, the bloody game was there to be won all he had to do was keep Scrimshaw on and keep doing the same. If anything just change either Scrimshaw of Loft for Jarvis and keep with the two up top, it was that fucking simple.
I still stand by what I’ve been saying for weeks, with a clued up manager who has an ounce of an idea we wouldn’t be where we are.
I can’t fathom what he was thinking, we were looking ok and Scrimshaw in particular was giving them something to worry about and Loft was linking up with him fairly well we offered a threat and he takes him off, sticks Wood on and goes ultra defensive.
If this isn’t further evidence he’s fucking useless, I’m not sure what Swann’s wanting because that loss of 2 points is purely Cox’s fault.
This is the most clueless fuckwit we’ve ever had in charge. The game was there to be won, we were playing well offering a threat and yet he still changed it and cocked it up…it was that farcical that we were lucky we even got a point due to his complete ineptness.
Swann needs to boot him out and quick. Richard Hinds was perplexed at what he was doing.
How the hell do you expect people to perform under him when they were playing how they were doing to have your clueless manager cock it all up ?
For feck sake, go Cox and do the right thing you selfish pillock.
October 20, 2021 at 12:57 am #216084Just got home – very annoyed with the manager.
He spent most of the game sat down whilst McMahon did all the shouting.
Loft had a shocker tonight. Missing the penalty must have got to him but why he played the full 90 I’ll never know. Especially when Cox said after the game he wasn’t feel well!
20% possession and camped in our own penalty area at 1-0, we was never going to hold on. To then hear him say they went for a point! A point on the road is only good when you win your home games.
I fear that he’ll employ the same tactics the next time we’re lucky enough to go 1-0 up too.
