Topics: 100We are currently 4/1 (!) for a win at Bromley.
We are slight ‘favourites’ at 14/10 to edge out Halifax who are 17/10.
Two difficult games!
Bromley have won one and drawn one at home, scoring just the one goal and with the resulting plus one goal difference.
The goal and the win came in the 72nd minute after Torquay were reduced to ten men in the 63rd minute.
Watching the highlights, Bromley could have been 7-1 or 7-2 up before the sending off.
It looks like they press high and flood forward.
Nine in and around the box for corners & free kicks.Halifax have two defeats on their travels.
A 1-0 loss at second placed Wealdstone.
A 2-0 loss at top of the table Barnet. In that game, Halifax were reduced to ten men in the 65th minute. Barnet put the game to bed when they notched their second in the 82nd minute. It could well turn out to be a Blank Holiday Weekend?

August 25, 2022 at 9:14 am #243463Saw Bromley once last year. Good side. Can’t see any points from that. Expecting 3 v Halifax though.
August 25, 2022 at 9:16 am #243464Sounds like 2 teams struggling a bit for goals.
Our defence is usually helpful enabling teams overcome their goal shyness. Plastic pitch as well at Bromley so probably won’t be tempted by the fairly generous odds.
August 25, 2022 at 9:23 am #243466Getting my Halifax ticket today and will be watching Monday with everything crossed. ⚽👍
August 25, 2022 at 10:35 am #243469Take a cross
August 25, 2022 at 11:13 am #243476Don’t let Halifax have a cross. Usually leads to a goal.
August 25, 2022 at 2:55 pm #243491Well they won’t need any eXtra help.

August 25, 2022 at 3:43 pm #243492Will Keef be cross after the game? Is he ever cross?
August 25, 2022 at 4:58 pm #243493Will Keef be cross after the game? Is he ever cross?
I heard he once sat down on a red hot sun lounger in Cyprus and ended up with hot cross buns.

August 25, 2022 at 5:27 pm #243495Our problem is when we concede we usually concede again soon after, and nine times out of ten if a team score against us when we are winning we don’t score another.

Obviously goes in one ear and out the other. They appear to be suffering from Hillykeithitis, a rare condition causing memory loss at weekends and erasing from memory everything done during the week.

SUFC 4-5 HalifaxAugust 28, 2022 at 11:30 pm #243789What do you base that on Renee, Halifax have only scored ONE goal in eight hours this season, I would think that a score of
Scunny 2 Halifax 0 will be more like it mate.August 29, 2022 at 12:39 am #243790What do you base that on Renee, Halifax have only scored ONE goal in eight hours this season
Have they come up against a defence containing Taft or a RB having to play CB ?. Then you can throw O’Malley into the mix who can’t defend to save his life.
Halifax scoring 5 isn’t that big of a exaggeration.

Scunny 2 Halifax 0 will be more like it mate.I’d more than happily take a 1-0 win. I’d be ecstatic with 2-0.
However, BH games always throw up weird high scoring results.
It could end up 4-2 to us or 3-5 to them.
Where we are at the moment, our ‘form’ and our luck – it’ll probably go against us.There’s no confidence, creativity or (positive) culture at the Club.
If we were to win the lottery – we’d lose the winning ticket.
