Excellent piece. Hopefully that well and truly puts paid to him attempting to present an alternative BS version of events on any platform in the future.
It was in that shite paper so had to hold my nose and read it. But there can be no denying the facts. We were on the brink of becoming dead in the water.
Michelle and her consortium saved us, and this time it is for real!

A predictable response from the person who was slagging off this forum and its members.
Oh dear. Did you not like my post.
WHAT A PITY!
You have no shame or contrition. That’s not a good look.
None of them do Deerey
Some do.
We just keep finding out more and more about the disaster that was Hilton.
And people still come out with stuff about how they’ve had enough of just been grateful we’ve still got a club.
It’s clear that next season we won’t have a lot of the current players or they won’t be on as much money.
Many thanks again to Michelle and everyone involved. Whilst I am a paid up Guardian reader (you won’t be surprised Kitchener), I’ll happily also praise Holly Mumby-Croft for doing her part as our MP.
Every paper has its sway, but even those with the most bias can do some good journalism occasionally. Even the Daily Mail!
I didn’t know the players were going to strike. I would have hoped we would have understood if it came to that.
Good read and shows how hard Michelle is working to turn things round.
Next season things will be better off the pitch… hopefully
Some do.
Perhaps, I’ve seen very little humility on that Facebook group after months of abuse from the sycophants. Should really move on but it Stil fees bitter the way they treated fellow supporters and the part they played in endorsing Hilton even after the supporters bans etc.
On the flip side, this past year has shown the very best of Scunthorpe supporters. I always thought apathy would eventually kill us but the town fought for the club when it mattered.
There was more truth in this than any of the absurd claims that ‘99% of supporters are behind you Dave!’
