Quite a few fans came back for this important game. I reckon 250/300 from Carlisle so maybe 500+ extra fans – so should’ve expected the result as is the Scunthorpe way. Whilst I thought the first half entertaining I doubt the match overall will persuade many to return – so desperately need at least two strikers to start finding the net and we can score a few more at home – we’ve been very poor at home for 3+ years now and the lack of goals – at home – will see us relegated.

January 3, 2022 at 7:43 pm #220463226 from Carlisle, not being able to get decent results in front of bigger crowds goes a long way back, Brian Laws bucked that trend as well as winning an away replay in the FA cup, thanks Brian.
January 4, 2022 at 12:36 am #220470Sorry to say, but the gate of 3,020 included 230 from Carlisle, meaning 2,790 home fans (correct me if I am wrong Northubiron) this for a fixture played on Holiday weekend, is very poor however way that you look at it.
There are still many issues that need sorting out, Keith Hill has done great since he arrived, but he needs fully backing from the Chairman, which looks as though he is not likely to be getting. But with the Holiday fixture being one that was expected to be a home win, added to it being a nice day weather wise,I would have thought the gate would have been over 4,000, but we still do not have any strikers in the squad, and I assume that is the main reason for such a low turnout, fans need to see an odd goal or two, but we have had this problem for three seasons now.
January 4, 2022 at 6:30 am #220471In previous times I would agree BS but a crowd of 3k isn’t bad considering the slow demise of the club over the past 3 years with a Chairman who is about as welcome as Omicron in the hotseat. Something that could’ve been built on.

January 4, 2022 at 9:47 am #220475Can’t understand your logic BS, why would you expect 4000 to turn up if you yourself didn’t?.
January 4, 2022 at 1:14 pm #220501Simple answer to that one Heathy my friend, the 4,000 can still attend without me being there, added to the fact that my legs are not too good just now pal, and it would have been difficult getting from the car park to the Cluggy, even so I was undecided at mid morning on match day. I pulled my calf muscle but hope it heals quickly and I can attend soon.
Maybe Iron-awe and yourself could use a sudan chair, but knowing Iron-awe I bet he would tip me out of it by dropping his end ha ha!
January 4, 2022 at 1:22 pm #220507It’s a sedan chair BS and I would tie it behind a Ferrari and point it down towards Dover so you could greet all our immigrant friends coming off the boats from France.
January 4, 2022 at 1:35 pm #220513Heathy? BS.
January 4, 2022 at 2:16 pm #220519The gate was an improvement and of course as pointed out how many were on ‘ifollow’ – this a figure that is rarely mentioned.
And NO I was not there, I still don’t think ‘the light has been seen’ ‘that someone is a reformed character’ . Only 1 thing will correct that.

We would need to get a double decker one Iron-awe, because surely you wouldn’t want to miss greeting some more of your rag head buddies.
