Less tha 2 hours before kick off and still nobody can be arsed to start a match thread.
We can quickly get 50 odd replies if the thread mentions racism, Brexit or the chairman’s shortfalls.
Signs of apathy to the football we are seeing these days?

Sign of Ernest Prawns tenure at the club may have something to do with it.
January 12, 2021 at 6:31 pm #200709More like no one’s really interested, could toss a coin or draw lots for all I care about football this year. The only thing is at this moment in time, promotion and relegation is still a factor, so has my attention.
January 12, 2021 at 6:42 pm #200712That aswell Awaywego but Ernie has played his part too.
January 12, 2021 at 9:13 pm #200724You post on here most days Awaywego, so I think you do care!

MK Iron, those days have far gone when there were 50 comments to a tread about a Scunny match which has just been played mate.
I used to do the Player Rating thread, but for instance last weeks had my ratings followed by two comments, and one of those was a sarkey one from up North, so it i not worth bothering with and I fully agree with you, start a thread about Brexit or taking the knee, and you will get 11 pages of tripe.
January 13, 2021 at 9:14 am #200753A while back, I posted that if you don’t go to games it’s hard to care in the same way as if you do. Well, we’re coming up on one year without any fans in the ground and I think the way people feel about football and supporting a club has changed.
January 13, 2021 at 9:50 am #200759Most of us believe we shouldn’t be playing at all, and the majority of us are offering no financial support to our teams, Swanny hasn’t got a brass farthing from me this season,so I hope he sticks round long enough so we can get to support our clubs in the normal way.
January 13, 2021 at 11:06 pm #200822Ican see where you are coming from Ferrite, but most supporters are seeing the team playing home and away, instead of just home games or not bothering at all, so surely fans have their views on our players performances and ref + management. The truth probably is that fans cannot see any end to the clubs decline, and have just lost interest, Ican certainly say that after going home and away for 69 years, I am very depressed with things. My son was talking to the two Scunny fans that live in Derby and have not missed one single Scunny home or away game in thirteen years, both League or Cups matches. They say that they have been going on walks etc and will bejust selecting games, instead of travelling all over the country, does anyone blaim them???
January 14, 2021 at 9:36 am #200826Yes but watching on your laptop is a very different experience from going to the ground. If they lose when you are watching iFollow, all you have lost is a tenner. If you have gone to the match, you’re given up 4-5 hours of your day, paid for parking, probably paid £20 to get in, got cold in the winter months. You’re literally more invested. Watching on your computer, all you do is close the lid of your laptop and go put the kettle on.
But your point about the state of our club is also entirely valid, loads of people feel the same I think.
January 14, 2021 at 9:49 am #200829I had seen every home league game at Glanford Park since the ground was built up to the start of this season, only missing Southend in the FA Cup 5 years ago with sickness bug a few hours after I had been and bought a ticket at GP on the Friday, and a Micky Mouse Trophy game with Morecambe because of Fog where I live and 11 years ago a League Cup game against Oldham and Lincs Cup game v Lincoln because I had a wrist operation and wasn’t allowed to drive, but the way the club has gone downhill over the last 3 seasons and performances on the pitch this season I don’t really care if I don’t go again.
January 14, 2021 at 9:49 am #200830Maybe the current “situation” of not being able to go has made it worse but honestly it started before that for me.
For at least a year before we were not allowed to attend I was forcing myself to go.
The garbage we have constantly been served up for years now has ruined my enjoyment of the game.
I can’t remember the last time I watched a non scunny game. Haven’t even bothered to watch match of the day for about 3 years. The thought of any additional football on top of the 90-180 minutes a week I am forced to endure is not appealing.
January 14, 2021 at 10:46 am #200832And they say covids not affecting football.
