Tuesday against Lincoln is probably the last good chance for trialists to impress.

You would think Cox would want a near starting 11 to play most of the Wimbledon game. Second 11 to play Grantham on the following Tuesday but with respect to Grantham not a real test.

“Was really impressed with Callum Wilson”

Not surprised, he’s an England International.

Do Newcastle know he played for us yesterday?

was really impressed with Callum Wilson on the wing, this lad is little but he ran rings round there defence and he is ours.

Aye, Cameron Wilson, a Goolie. I thought he was stand-out too, looks an exciting player. Pity he went off but Cox probably decided he could play a bit and wanted to see others in action.

It was pretty encouraging all round, and suprisingly entertaining too. Can’t remember the last time that happened.

Spare a thought for the guy who used to walk among the crowd home and away selling raffle tickets with the customary good cheer – Dave(?). He’s apparently been let go by the club after donkey’s years of service. Now about to launch a book ‘SUFC – Nutty Bits and Iron Filings’. Only sold privately, so I hear from a pal who saw him yesterday.

That’ll be John Staff. If true, shows the ever growing disconnect between club and supporters

Staffy gave me a leaflet yesterday, has he been let go, the only thing I heard was they weren’t doing Draw tickets in the friendlies and nothing had been decided for league games, so you must have heard more, I know it would be difficult doing it cash free, the item I will miss is the programme, even doing a basic one would have been OK.

I have been quite impressed with the Iron in the two friendlies thus far. Look to playing a more traditional 4-4-2.

Watson, Collins, Davis, Taft, Onariase, kenyan, Beestin, Loft, Thompson and O’Malley all look decent.

The lad at 4 v Hull City was very impressive great vision, good range of passing and covered a lot of ground.

Greene was wearing the captains armband v Burton but yesterday Davis wore it first half and never stopped talking/organising. Taft wore it 2nd half.

Well done to Lex Icon might not be all doom and gloom afterall.

Staffy seemed confident that the 50:50 would be here for Swindon game but wasn’t sure if he’d be given a card reader or accepting cash!

I guess club away coach travel will be hit and miss this season ( deffo a miss for me ) but Staffy was a main organiser and invariably headed a coach most away weeks. Wonder where all that will fit in over the next nine months or so?

Think he’s been given his cards, unfortunately.

Take it the club will take the same stance with the coach travel. Is the half time draw a club thing? I always thought it was independent of the club.

Don’t think the club would even consider getting rid of john if it wasn’t for COVID-19, but it’s just to risky having someone walking between the supporters on match day.
I would hope he can do his usual 50/50 near the club shop/tickets office as long as you wear a mask.
