Congratulations and welcome Tahina , im sure your professional experience will utilized to the full in the coming months.

I noticed on the club website the club is also advertising for a Financial administrator (no comment) and a head chef, just being nosy i opened the link for the chef job description and who ever takes that baby on will be a very busy Scunny Bunny.

out of interest how much are they paying for the privilege , are they buying shares , why are they not on companies house and if it goes Pete tong are they in any way liable or is that solely mr david ?

Good questions but i dont reckon fans will ever get to know such info .. possibly a non disclosure clause in the gig is my guess.

I would be very surprised if any of the Directors were liable if it goes tits up, with it being a private limited company.

Seems strange that a month after the other 4 were announced not one of them have been registered on companies house.

They will have had to wait for the fit and proper tests, which can take a couple of weeks. I would imagine there is also some paperwork for each of them to sign.

I am told the first board meeting is later this week, so I would assume they will be confirmed officially after that.

It is interesting that he is still looking for more directors. I have heard there may be another couple on the way and the advert was also attached to the news of the new appointment.

Having a diverse board is a positive step, but how many directors do we need? We are going to need a bigger table and a few extra chairs at this rate!

Seems a pretty varied Board so far with some wide ranging experiences and skills. Would be good to see a supporter representative. Either as full time Board member or invited guest. Maybe representative of Iron Bru will put themselves forward?

Absolutely not, the club tried that and it was an unmitigated disaster.
Perhaps the candidate was the wrong choice.
Walked round the club like he owned it.

Not the wrong choice, just a failure in fans expectations of what the fan director could say and most took that as being was useless, yet no other board member as ever answered the kind of questions fans expect far from it St Simon resigned from the board and to date hasn’t gone into detail on his resignation of which many of us are interested in.

Think the Neil Wright experiment showed why it won’t work; supporters want transparency and that’s in direct conflict with the boards role. Have meetings with fan’s groups by all means though.

Good to see another member appointed, especially from the local area.

At this stage, it is looking like they will be directors by title only. In other words, not executive directors of the company. If they do become executive directors of the company, they will be bound by the Companies Act 2006.

I reckon the issue with it is more whether the chair/owner genuinely wants someone in that role as a key part of how they run the club, or if it is just a token position to pay lip service to the fans.

Obviously I was only referring to the new Director, Deerey. For the reasons stated it looks like great appointment. I share the anxieties surrounding the stadium ..and to a lesser extent future finances. But the fact that no move can be made by the club without a degree of pessimism being offered just did what it did …made me sigh. If someone bangs in a 30 yard screamer just below me on 12th Aug I hope the guy behind me doesnt nudge me in the back and ask me to tone it down cos there are still lots of uncertainties surrounding the future. That was all.
