Theory: Dean out if we don’t win on Saturday (unless he’s been fired before then). Andy Butler then promoted to Caretaker Manager.

    Thoughts?

Get Torpey in with Butler assistant.

    That’s an extra wage, though.

Not if the assistant goes too.

I know Michael Nelson is struggling at the minute but I’d go get him and have Butler as his assistant until the end of the season.

Exactly. Came as a pair, leave as a pear or is it a lemon?

Any thing will be better than the present managment, how caqn our team be playing at the second level of non-league football, with a big budget, and be playing this rubbish game after game, and nothing seems be changing, the present manager and his team are clearly not up to the job, get rid Michelle or you will lose many of your faithful supporters, you will be aware of this without being told.

No to Butler for me, supposedly training the set pieces and that’s one of our weakest areas!!
Get Crosby in…. Would he really be that expensive until the end of the season?
For him it’s the chance to get a promotion on his CV then sit down in the summer to see what can be agreed.
This job will be massively appealing to a lot of out of work managers!!

I can’t see Crosby wanting to uproot himself to go manage in the National League North.

Butler Torpey, Crosby, Nelson and Harsley as joint managers, apologies if I’ve missed any other suggestions out, funny really there all ex scunny how predictable and how embarrassing.

Cannot afford to pay anyone one off unless some benefactor steps forward !

Anyone coming in would have to be at no cost – we could not afford unless that kind benefactor stepped in again.

So if we can’t afford anyone to come in that leaves us with Butler,Mussy and Stanton if Dean’s fired. They fit the bill their all ex iron.

If Dean is that much at a loss to what’s going wrong and how to fix it, could he possibly be persuaded to step back for the rest of the season and let others in the coaching team lead, without the need for sacking and compensation?

Becoming a question whether Michelle can afford not to get rid of him now, just half decent results of late and the crowds would be nudging 4000 come Saturday a scunny crowd of 3000 would be excellent.

The response from the supporters this year has been fantastic. The biggest financial risk for the club is losing the goodwill of the supporters. The team’s performances are increasing that risk.

Can we afford not to change the manager?

cant see JD getting sacked ..more likely we will just drift on and scrap into the play offs loose and thus so another year in this nasty league , his contract will not be renewed as his remit was promotion and im predicting that wont happen this season.

sadly i think you’re right – can only see defeat on Sat and crowds will not go over 3000 home fans again. Results are bad enough but the football is turgid

Thought we actually played some decent stuff in the first half last night and looked quite dangerous going forwards (especially down our left)…but our final ball/finishing was horrendous! Second half was just pure comedy gold defensively.

JD needs to turn this mess around quickly though or we’re going to get eaten up by the chasing pack below us and end up in a fight just to make the playoffs.

Michelle looks like she’s well on top of the easy bit the finances at this present time, the hard bit to come is keeping people engaged with the football side the “be thankful we’ve got a football club” will only wash for so long.

I suspect the financial side hasn’t been easy. Just a hunch.
