Hull City’s latest accounts show they lost £500k a week – and their debt is now £66m.
Should say,”again”
Accounts up to last December say £66m or is that the debt amount as of now? It’s shocking and losing £2m a month is not going to last very long.
I honestly think that football is an unsustainable business for most. There are few clubs inside and even outside of the 92 that break even, never mind make a profit.
It seems to me that most rely on loans from their respective owners to meet the day-to-day operational costs, and when the owener(s) walk away (like we experienced) the club is in deep sh*t.
Seen it all before, and I’m not concerned in the least,
Hull fan here reckons they will be playing L1 footy next year … deep pockets required owning a football club nowadays.

They need to stop clutching their pearls, then remember that normal business practice is to football what Anne Widdecombe is to fast bowling in cricket.
That level of debt is nowhere near as large as some EFL clubs, and like others it’s dependent on an owner sustaining it. When the Turk came in he stayed it would be run as loss making. Like almost ever single football club owner, I have little trust him, a position I’ve long held and have yet to be let down.
Abridged version,
Situation normal, don’t fret.
Perhaps the Turkish Delight is starting to leave a bitter after taste, should have used more sugar in the recipe?
More likely to need some Tiger Balm!
