Can your Dad come on here and confirm that please?
May 31, 2023 at 6:22 pm #2634024) So is there a plan B if the GP plan doesn't work?
"Yes, We signed an agreement on April 28th with a local club which meets league requirements and was approved by the league who have provided a licence for the current season. This is our plan B but is very much a contingency— AB (@YorkyIron) May 31, 2023
May 31, 2023 at 6:25 pm #263403The full thread –
There has been a lot of things said on social media in the past weeks which have no doubt concerned some @SUFCOfficial fans. I reached out to David Hilton to see if he was available for a chat, he gave me a few moments of his time to answer some questions..

May 31, 2023 at 6:44 pm #263407Hopefully that all comes true. Interesting to see a plan B, so that should at least steady nerves about us being able to play somewhere, but I suspect it’s the most likely option. Also, it might be for a longer term than advertised given that the chances of us having a new stadium in two years is slim.
There would have been far less panic if Hilton had relayed this to the fans far more clearly and with this detail (he’s obviously happy for this to be made public) sooner and through official means. I don’t see why an Iron Hour podcast member has to reach out to him for us to know anything. Communication in such trying times is key.
May 31, 2023 at 6:55 pm #263408I’m aware much of this is a repeat, but I don’t think the groudshare and stadium plans are.
May 31, 2023 at 6:56 pm #263409DH is clearly putting the blame for non completion of the ground and land deal on the current owner not resolving the issues previously discussed at the forum. All seems rather sad really that people just can’t do the right thing when an agreement is made.
May 31, 2023 at 7:00 pm #263410Yes, though we have no idea as to what’s gone on. Swann will have a different story I am sure, and I can’t blame people for not trusting Swann. Though, it doesn’t mean he’s in the wrong, necessarily.
May 31, 2023 at 7:21 pm #263411Could l suggest a chill pill hard being wrong when you have opinions
May 31, 2023 at 7:24 pm #263412I am perfectly chill. Expressing opinion does not equal flustered.
May 31, 2023 at 7:31 pm #263413I can’t believe he’s stating 2 years to deliver what is now confirmed as a purpose built modern stadium with the process not even really started – I mean that sort of project would be 40 or 50 million quid – let’s come back in May 2025 and see if it’s done .

There will be one or two interested parties nodding profusely with that comment, I can assure you of that.

May 31, 2023 at 7:41 pm #263417I have no idea as to why this isn’t the best day for me on the forum to be honest.

May 31, 2023 at 8:02 pm #263421Doncaster or Grimsby,Gainsborough isn’t upto league standard
May 31, 2023 at 8:04 pm #263423We are not in the league we are we
May 31, 2023 at 8:09 pm #263424New board at Trinity; suspect that’s played a part as they turned us down before along with donny.
The thread on Twitter offers clarity on a number of things, suggest people have a look.
Personally, I see a groundshare with Trinity as a complete disaster from everybody involved if it eventually comes to fruition; a deal has to be reached with the Swann’s to remain at GP for the short term at least.
Meanwhile, The money that has been invested into the club thus far is non refutable. We simply would not be here without it and some gratitude should be shown to the chairman for that.
The plans for the new ground I’ll view with caution; I’ve been to a consultation on a 12,000 seater before and a spade never left the shed; I’ll believe it when I see it.

May 31, 2023 at 8:58 pm #263430I’ve read all the answers given to the questions and pretty pleased in all honesty. I’ll believe in Hilton until I have reason not to. For any of you who hasn’t ready the back and forth, go read it. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
